🌳Longhua Temple, a tranquil haven in Shanghai, is renowned for its Japanese garden style and spacious environment. 🏞️Unlike other crowded temples, it offers relative openness, with the solemn Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery directly opposite. 📸When taking photos, skyscrapers rarely intrude, giving a sense of escape from the city's hustle and bustle. 🍜Longhua Temple's vegetarian cuisine is a must-try. The vegetarian noodles are generously portioned, delicious, and reasonably priced. Most uniquely, diners can sample first and pay later, simply scanning the payment code on the table after finishing – a trusting and comfortable experience. 💕 🎨Among Longhua Temple's creative products, the phone cases are particularly appealing. Every year, the abbot's new works are made into phone cases and small pendants, becoming must-buy souvenirs for many tourists. 🛍️Whether you're there to savor the food or seek inner peace, Longhua Temple is a place worth visiting. 🌟
Longhua Temple in Shaoxing, an important part of the Tushita Heaven Palace, had long attracted my attention and become a must-visit destination when touring Shaoxing. This temple complex comprises the Maitreya Nunnery, founded by the eminent Eastern Jin Dynasty monk Zhi Dun, and Baolin Peak, located atop Baolin Mountain (formerly known as Ke Mountain) in the Daxinglin Scenic Area of Kuaiji Mountain in Shaoxing County. The architectural complex rises ingeniously from the mountainside, connecting the two peaks from north to south. With its carved beams and painted rafters, layered and stacked, it exudes a serene and solemn atmosphere, possessing a magnificent grandeur. With a total construction area of over 40,000 square meters, it is currently the largest single-building Buddhist temple in the imperial style in China.
Highly recommend visiting to pray for your family! Many people say this place is very efficacious. It's also great for taking beautiful photos 📷. There are kittens everywhere 🐈. It's very quiet on a weekday. Not crowded, and quite spacious. Free incense is available at the entrance. After getting the incense, walk around the pagoda three times, silently pray, and bow facing the four directions. After bowing, place the incense in the burner. At the very end, there's a vegetarian noodle restaurant. A bowl of noodles is reasonably priced at only 15 yuan, and side dishes are 10 yuan. Next to the restaurant, there are also souvenir shops selling various flavored cakes and snacks in vacuum-packed packaging. Subway 🚇 Line 11/12, Longhua Station, Exit 3. There is a parking lot for cars 🚗 with direct access to the temple.

A genuine ancient temple in downtown Shanghai, where you can burn incense, make wishes, meditate, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and taste inexpensive vegetarian food. The transportation is also very friendly, with direct access by subway. After the temple tour, if you have time, there are many shops in the commercial building opposite the temple, where you can find a place to sit.
I chose a weekday to come to Longhua Temple. I didn't expect there would be so many people. There are several places selling red ropes, two at the entrance and one inside the temple, 198 yuan/rod. Although there were many people, I actually only waited in line for about 10 minutes. The incense here is really popular, and there are really many cats, not afraid of strangers at all, and there are dogs! It feels like everyone is an Internet celebrity, haha😃 I also had the vegetarian Luohan noodles this time, 15 yuan/bowl, and there are really a lot of toppings, but it's a bit salty. The toppings and noodles can be refilled for free!!! Mung bean cakes, pineapple cakes, vegetarian duck, etc. are all pretty good, you can buy some to take home as snacks.
A year's plan begins with spring. Chinese traditional culture has always attached great importance to spring, the season for sowing hope. In ancient times, there was also a custom of taking the beginning of spring as the beginning of the new year. Now there is still a tradition of worshiping Buddha and praying for blessings at the beginning of spring. Many people go to the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha every year at the beginning of spring, praying for good weather and good harvests in spring and autumn. 🏯Longhua Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Shanghai. It is said that it was built during the Three Kingdoms period, and the reliable history began in the second year of Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (977 AD). For thousands of years, Longhua Temple has been prosperous, and this year's beginning of spring is no exception. Just after 8:30 in the morning, pilgrims have been coming in an endless stream. People pray for good weather, peace and happiness. 🏯Longhua Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Shanghai. It is said that it was built during the Three Kingdoms period, and the reliable history began in the second year of Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (977 AD). That year, the Longhua Temple Tower destroyed by war was rebuilt. Due to the soft soil in Shanghai, the Longhua Temple Pagoda was slightly tilted. After a major renovation last year, it has become more upright. For thousands of years, Longhua Temple has been popular, and this year's Spring Festival is no exception. Just after 8:30 in the morning, pilgrims have already arrived in an endless stream. ☀️The sunny weather, the strong incense, and the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere all make people believe that this year will be full of hope...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Longhua Temple, located in Xuhui District in the southwest of downtown Shanghai, is a famous ancient temple in Jiangnan. Its name comes from the story of Maitreya Bodhisattva becoming a Buddha under the Longhua tree in the Buddhist scriptures. Legend has it that Longhua Temple was built in the Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period. It was built by Sun Quan for his mother, more than 1,700 years ago. However, there is a documented history that Longhua Temple was built in the second year of Taipingxingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (977 AD). In the New Year, it is undoubtedly a good place to go to Longhua Ancient Temple to pray for blessings.
