Jiangnan in the Rain | Suzhou Changyuan Youxiong Hotel As a Jiangsu native, this was my first time experiencing a garden hotel I went to Suzhou with my daughter to attend an event and thought we could do some sightseeing while we were there The most representative thing about Suzhou is its gardens I didn't want to just take a quick look After doing some research, I found that Changyuan Youxiong was the most suitable for our needs and aesthetic We booked two nights and arrived just before dark After resting for a while The butler took us on a tour of the garden They introduced the history of the garden and some of the services The room was prepared with hot sago and fruit The room layout was also very comfortable The concierge service was also very good, it felt like home Suzhou Changyuan is a classical garden building built in the late Qing Dynasty The butler said that there are many small gardens in Suzhou If you like gardens, you can also visit Lingering Garden Of course, if you don't stay at Changyuan You can also make a reservation to visit (it is said to be the most difficult garden to book in Suzhou) During our stay, the temperature was a bit low, but it was very comfortable indoors. There was underfloor heating and the room was big enough. It was a bit cold in the garden, but it was also beautiful in a different way. The building's "dialogue between ancient and modern" allowed us to rediscover Suzhou, a city we often visit.
