The sightseeing car tickets are bought on-site, we only bought a one-way ticket up the mountain for 25 RMB per person, a round trip is 45 RMB per person. After the sightseeing car reaches its final stop, you need to walk a few minutes on the trail. The scenery at the mountain top is beautiful, but it's also crowded, and you need to queue for photos. After our visit, we walked down the mountain, taking breaks and photos at the check-in spots, and there were free telescopes available. Regarding food: There are not many dining options inside the Tongguling Scenic Area, it's best to bring your own dry food and water. There is a small supermarket at the mountain top with limited choices. To the right of the restrooms inside the scenic area, there is food for sale, beef brisket rice for 35 RMB (which I didn't buy).
