"Urban Suites provides basic amenities like a kettle, towels, and 2-in-1 hair & body shampoo. There is also a washing machine available, which is convenient for longer stays. It also has an exceptionally good night view from rooftop 42 level.
Check in was easy, carpark is easy to navigate as well.
However, there are several areas that could be improved:
1. Only one ceramic cup was provided, while the rest were plastic cups and plastic bowls.
2. A meat cutting knife was provided, but there was no small fruit knife.
3. The shower head was damaged, causing uneven water flow.
4. The iron was dirty and unusable for ironing clothes.
5. The sofa was too hard and not very comfortable.
6. The worst part was the lift waiting time — during peak hours, waiting for the lift could take 10–15 minutes."

"Three bedroom unit has very nice view looking at both bridges, which is a definitely big plus for a vacation. Floor has some dust but no big issue on the cleanliness, minor feedback is that some controllers such as TV has depleted battery. Overall great stay and good service bu the staff, will definitely stay here again. Didn’t manage to use the facility but gym room is currently undergoing maintenance."

"The location is great, with a beach and a good view of the sunrise. We booked a 3-bedroom apartment on a high floor - we’re on the 35th floor. The rooms are very clean and the view is excellent.
The only minor downside is that the frying pan in the kitchen had a slight odor. In the end, we didn’t use it. Other than that, everything was great.
Also, there’s a MyNews supermarket right next to the building downstairs, which is very convenient."

"This hotel is excellent. It's brand new and completely odor-free. The rooms even have water purifiers for direct drinking, and hot water is readily available – a huge plus since most hotels in Malaysia don't provide bottled mineral water, and buying it outside can be quite cumbersome. The room design is superb and very well-suited for Chinese guests, with brand new kitchen utensils too. The hotel's location is also fantastic. Just a short walk away, you can catch a free bus for sightseeing around Penang. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the former site where Sun Yat-sen founded the Tongmenghui, and GAMA Supermarket is also within walking distance, offering great products at reasonable prices. You can take the free bus to many attractions. It's also conveniently located about a 30-minute drive from the airport. Plus, you can easily get to the jetty to catch a ferry to Butterworth and then take a train to Ipoh, or even directly to Kuala Lumpur. All in all, it's incredibly convenient and definitely worth staying. This hotel is a perfect choice for a trip to Penang."

"I really liked this hotel; the front desk staff were very friendly. Our suite had a lobby, two bedrooms, a toilet, a shower room, and an open kitchen. The overall design was spacious and bright, with a simple yet warm and comfortable style. The beds were very soft and comfortable, and there was a large fan overhead and air conditioning nearby, so we didn't have to worry about getting hot. There was a shared water dispenser and microwave outside the suite for hot water and cooking. The hotel area was very quiet, and we could see the city lights in the distance. Overall, it was excellent, and I would recommend this hotel suite to groups of friends traveling in groups."

However, if you have the budget, I'd still recommend staying at a hotel."

"Found this gem of a place by accident. With many hotels increasing rates during the festive season I managed to book a room here for a price I thought was way below the average for a 3 room unit.
Of course my expectations were not much BUT when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised - what I say a “bang for your buck” - it was near one of the busiest shopping complexes and close to highways which was a breeze until u hit town (obviously). My room even had a sea view.
It’s tucked away outside the busy streets and to me it gave me the extra quietness and calm I needed after a long drive. I hit the pool and tried the gym - not a big gym but “it’s all there”.
This is what I noticed : bus station and airport was in my opinion nearby (no more than a 20min grab ride)
In short you can’t fault this property for the price you’re paying. I will be back! Tq for making the stay memorable."

If you need anything, you can contact staff via WhatsApp, and it will be delivered quickly. The room was clean and spacious. Nice pool and jacuzzi, plus a well-equipped gym. Upon check-in, we were asked for a 200 RM refundable deposit, but only in cash. We had a pleasant stay.

The unit was very clean, though a little bit of smell in toilet, i think it’s due to the piping system of high-rise building.
Nice front room with city view. The another room besude entrance is a bit crowded. No wardrobe/clothes hanger, only coat stands.
Convenient location with various local eateries in walking distance.

TTszHo778The day before your arrival, the room service will message you about key collection. Just show your check-in confirmation to the security guard downstairs, ask them to open the door, and grab your key from the left. Customer service will send you a comprehensive document; make sure to read it carefully, as it's very well-organized. The building is disinfected daily, and the elevators are kept clean. There's a Starbucks and a convenience store right downstairs. I was on the 22nd floor, and the noise wasn't too noticeable. The view was also quite good, and the room rate was incredibly reasonable—much better than what I experienced in Guangzhou. Unless you're staying in a high-end four or five-star hotel, I'd definitely recommend this type of serviced apartment for travel. If you're considering guesthouses in George Town and have high expectations for your accommodation, I wouldn't really suggest them. The motorcycle noise there is beyond imagination, and since it's a heritage area, their sewage system is quite old. However, if you're not particular, it can offer a unique charm. Overall, everything was great. The residents here are very friendly, and I never had to wait long for the elevator, contrary to what some online reviews mentioned. My longest wait was never more than 30 seconds. A local driver told me that this is a newer area, so the location isn't ideal for tourists if you want to walk everywhere; you'll need to take a taxi unless you're driving. But I personally found it quite good. If you plan on exploring, you'll need to taxi to George Town daily, which is usually about a 15-minute ride, so that's a bit of a downside. Otherwise, I'd choose this type of travel accommodation over a four or five-star beachfront hotel. I had a spacious apartment all to myself, which was fantastic. These are all my thoughts, and I hope they help with your decision.

GGuest UserThis hotel was great, very clean, probably because it's newly built. It even has USB ports for charging, which is really convenient. Having a water server in the room was a huge plus. The location is good too, with a bus stop nearby. On the rooftop, there's a pool and a gym. The 11th floor has a play area and a bar counter-like space where you can eat takeout food, and there were even ashtrays for smokers. There's also a convenience store next to the front desk. I'm definitely coming back! Thank you.
