Very welcoming and friendly staff. King studio room was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast was nice with a good selection on food but the scrambled eggs were cold. Hotel is in walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay again.

Perfectly adequate sized rooms, but space is not generous. Shared bathrooms can be a nuisance if you are busting. Really needs separate toilets. Quiet street (for a central city) and easy to walk to from Courtney Place/Cuba St, etc. Very attentive concierge. Very good value - you get what you pay for.
I had a really enjoyable stay at Copthorne Solway Park. The grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The room was comfortable, the bed was great, and the facilities—especially the pool and outdoor areas—made it easy to unwind after a long day.
One small thing to note is that I did encounter a couple of insects in the room. It wasn’t a major issue, and given the rural setting it’s probably hard to avoid completely, but it’s worth mentioning.
A hotel for the location really. Perfect for an early morning flight. The view out the windows to the construction area below isn't great, but you don't stay here for the views. Nice smooth check-in and check-out, even at 5am.
A divine experience glamping in a vineyard! ❤️
Had the good fortune of stumbling across Martinborough on my way to Wellington. It's a quaint place with a variety of well appointed cabins with gas fireplaces and spa baths just outside the cute village of cafes, shops and wineries. Their team is kind and hardworking. 💯
Bring your own food since you'll have a kitchenette and food can be limited during the day since most places don't open until evening or the weekends for tourists. Also, recommend driving since it's both expensive and challenging to get around outside of the limited free shuttle. Bikes are available to rent for $40NZD 🤑🤑
Very handy for me my dinner get together is next door so perfect, staff very friendly and helpful, the only downside is walls are very thin so you hear your neighbours, but otherwise all's well, breakfast can be ordered and is nice.
The room is big enough, the facilities are complete, you can cook, microwave, refrigerator, oven, and the backyard is green grass. I feel that the proprietress is Filipino, very enthusiastic and diligent. The only fly in the ointment is that it is close to Highway 1 and the noise is louder.

Stayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite.
Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference.
Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere.
The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable.
One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in.
Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight.
Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.

The room is located in a renovated old street, with a very bold use of color. It's the most 'Cuban-colored' hotel on Cuban Street. Very distinctive. All the toiletries are New Zealand's Antipodes brand, known for being fragrance-free, dye-free, and natural. The breakfast juice is also from the New Zealand national juice brand, Home... It's great overall. I'll definitely come again. It's great for photos. Each floor has a different color scheme. The room might not have been occupied for a while, as the cups and hairdryer were a bit dusty. However, for this price point, it's totally acceptable. No complaints.

In the heart of the downtown city close to the action if you like to go out in the evening. We missed the airco as it was warm on our room. We had nice view on the church next to the hotel

GGuest UserThe staff were very friendly, welcoming & very efficient. They took the time to go out of their way to make us comfortable.
The lift & room was just a little bit older around the edges, but still very good! The bed was heavenly-soft & lovely, we just wish we'd had time to rest & relax more than one night in Wellington!
GGuest UserThe entrance was a little hard to find, but it's easy once you get used to it. The hotel is also conveniently located. As the name suggests, there were many paintings and other artworks, and the reception and lobby were very stylish.
The hallway to our room also had a luxurious feel to it, which was exciting. We were given a very spacious corner room. The kitchen was equipped with a microwave and a large dishwasher, which was very convenient. The bathroom had a bathtub separate from the shower, which made soaking in the hot water very relaxing.
Above all, it felt luxurious and special, and seeing my daughters so happy made me very happy. I would like to stay here again. Thank you.

GGuest UserSeriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t open until 6am”
No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.
Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.
No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.
$45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

Rrav4000We enjoyed a couple of nights' stay at this centrally located hotel. The self service check-in and check-out process was relatively seamless and staff were responsive when we requested fresh towels and sheets. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for us, although there is no window (other than a small skylight).

GGuest UserI love this place! The beds are very comfy, and the bathroom is very spacious and clean. It’s great that the hotel can arrange parking for you at Wilson Car Park, which is just beside the hotel this makes everything so much more convenient.
The location is within walking distance of most tourist destinations such as Cuba Street, Willis Lane, the Waterfront, Beehive,Wellington cable car,and Te Papa Museum so u dont need much driving around the town just to explore as u can do all of it by just walking from the hotel.
It’s also close to many restaurants and convenience stores.
The staff are amazing and very helpful! I also love the Nespresso machine in the room. I will definitely come back and book here again next time!

张张Especially good, the boss is also good, gave a lot of help. The hotel is clean and strategically located. At the door are KFC and McDonald's, as well as large supermarkets. Very convenient.
GGuest UserMy daughter and I stayed for four nights during our five-day trip to Wellington, and the hotel met all my expectations. First, its central location is incredibly convenient, right across from the Old Bank. There's a bus stop downstairs, making it easy to get to the airport and train station, and most attractions are within walking distance. Second, it was clean, spacious, and quiet. Being on the 21st floor, the air and sunlight were lovely, and we slept very well. Third, the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and basic tableware, allowing us to prepare simple meals. All in all, I highly recommend it.
