"Doha's beaches are paid, and the Westpac Hotel & Suites' biggest advantage is the vouchers for free access to Doha Sands Beach. It's an easy walk. The sea is beautiful in the fall and spring; the water is cold in winter and boiling hot in summer. Entrance without a voucher is around R$100, slightly less on weekdays. A towel and a bottle of water are provided on the beach. Comfortable sun loungers are available, including double loungers. There's a canopy. Indoor dining is available, along with a bar, water activities, volleyball, and table tennis. Prices are average: lemonade is R$18, pizza is R$25-40. Burgers, ice cream, and coffee are also available. We booked a one-bedroom suite for two adults and a teenage child. We arrived late at night, very tired, and received a free upgrade to a two-bedroom suite. It's a huge apartment with a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a walk-in closet. There's a washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator. We only used the refrigerator. There's an indoor pool, but we didn't use it. Everything is clean and beautiful, with bright colors. We were very comfortable. Thank you so much to Westpac Hotel & Suites for this bonus; this room was much more expensive. The elevator is summoned with a card and only goes to your floor. The breakfast was delicious, with hot food and snacks. Nothing fancy. The room is small, but the staff cleared tables quickly, and we didn't have to wait. If I had to find fault, I'd say: 1. The kitchen floor was always wet; the source of the water was unclear; we didn't use the kitchen. There are no cutlery or utensils. 2. You have to wait a while for hot water to come from the tap. 3. The windows are dirty, which ruins the beautiful view. The only place I've seen dirtier is in New York. When booking this hotel, I looked for reviews, but there were very few. I hope my review helps someone decide and have a wonderful vacation in this wonderful country. For me, this is the safest, cleanest, most peaceful, and most beautiful place to relax. "A beautiful hotel but falls short of 5 star service. The service received was pretty inconsistent as some members of staff and certain situations were dealt with to a top standard but the hotel fell short in other areas. The poolside was not staffed so on our 2 days that we spent there (would have spent more but it was boring), there was nothing provided to eat or drink. Spending time by the pool is a big part of my holiday so this was really disappointing. When I enquired with a staff member, I was told it is un-manned due to a lack of guests using the pool. This wasnt an acceptable reason. The other situation I had was when I asked if I could change money using my contactless card (we forgot our bank cards!) - 2 members of staff said it is possible then when I went to change the money, the manager(Nicole) came and advised that it actually isnt possible. Very unprofessional. Check-in was really nice and Kartik was friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the door was very, very helpful in all matters and 2 members of staff at Alnafourah were also very helpful and friendly. We watched football at Alnafourah and we were treated well and nicely accommodated. Another incident occured when we came back to our room following a visit to the pool and having had our room made up, there were no towels! I had to call twice to housekeeping to advise them as they took so long to respond then when a member from housekeeping arrived, he told me the towels will take an hour to arrive! Never experienced something like this at a 5 star hotel. I had to go down to reception to resolve the situation and I will say that Nicole did sort it out immediately, the housekeeping manager visited our room to apologise and provided a complimentary fruit bowl. Nicole also offered a wonderful gesture by giving us complimentary entrance to a beautiful 'brunch by the pool' evening dinner. This was a lovely gesture as the food on offer was delightful. The gesture was very much appreciated. The location of the hotel isnt the best as there isnt too much to do in the area but taxis are so easy to get, this isnt too much of an issue. Overall, a really nice hotel but in my opinion, falls short of 5 star standard but does provide good value for the price. Nice but I wouldn't stay here again. Overall service needs improvement."

"We had a relaxing and pleasant 3-night stay at this hotel. The room is of reasonable size and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and amazingly helpful. The manager at reception desk was very accommodating and went out of his way to make our stay a very pleasant experience. Thank you, Brian! The hotel is within walking distance to Metro station (Al Doha Al Jadeda). Breakfast was very good and there was many options. Enjoyed happy hour drinks at Stock Burger Bar during our stay. If we ever visit Doha in the future, we will definitely stay again at this hotel."

"The room was very clean and large. Feras, the front desk staff from Jordan was very friendly. The check-in procedure was smooth and quick. Unfortunately, there was light leakage between the curtain box and the curtain, with a gap of about 15 cm. I can't imagine that the curtains in a five-star hotel room would leak light. I checked in at 3:30 AM, and it was about 4 o'clock after I washed and went to bed. The light woke me up at 7 o'clock in the morning, and I didn't sleep well, which affected my schedule for the day. This is my fourth and last time staying in this hotel"

"The hotel was great, staff were very friendly. Upon arriving the check in was prompt and we received a free welcome drink along with 2 drink vouchers to use within the lounge at the hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and included a variety of amenities. We used the gym on site and it was great, has everything that you will/would want in a gym! We had breakfast upon checkout and it was great, there was a wide variety of choices, very well laid out and tasted great. They even provided me with a yogurt bowl to takeout as we didn’t have much time before our flight. Amazing customer service. Would stay here again and highly recommend."

"I was lucky to check in this hotel, my room is a one-bedroom suite which is located at the upper floor. First of all, the services are warm, effective and professional. All staff take great care about the guests'needs and try to solve any problems. Very quick to response and understand vere well the exact demands of the guests. There are varied resturants nearby, seafood, cafe, Mcdonalds, Burger King, Arabic food and etc. Facilities are new and well-maintained, mattresses, bed sheets, comformters(duvets), pillows are comfortable. For my room, the most important is spacious. If I feel exhausted owing to jet leg or walking too much per day, then my room is a perfect place for relax. I was hurry to check out on Feb 29, unfortunately I forgot to grab the fruit knife stored in reception. My room number is 1412, the luggage storage tag is 03209.
