We took a shuttle from the airport to pick up our rental car, and the driver kindly helped us load our luggage. The shuttle had a separate space for luggage, which was convenient. Upon entering the office, a staff member asked for our driver's license and credit card. They confirmed the validity of our credit card and explained that a small charge would be made and then canceled. The staff member's instructions were clear, making it easy to understand and ensured clear communication. As we left the office with a stack of vehicle-related documents, a dispatcher took our documents and explained the vehicle. We chose a full-to-full fuel option. We had reserved a Kona, but when we arrived, no Kona was available. We were given the choice of a minivan or a truck. We chose the minivan, and we were free to choose any of the parked minivans. There were plenty of freshly washed and still-dry vehicles waiting for us, and we chose a Chrysler minivan that caught our eye and loaded our luggage. As we were leaving the parking lot, another staff member asked for our documents, and it appeared they were scanning them to map us and the vehicle. It was a great experience because the system was convenient and flexible. The vehicle was spacious and had ample luggage space, and the kids enjoyed the ride. My husband drove, and he was completely captivated by the minivan. Before returning the car, we filled up at the Safeway Fuel Station near the airport and headed to Alamo Rent-A-Car. The return process was very simple, and we were able to conveniently take the shuttle to the airport. Since we rented for our entire Big Island trip, the cost was quite high, but it was a satisfying and enjoyable experience. I hope others have a wonderful trip too~♡
