This fireworks festival in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, was the world's first "audience-participatory fireworks festival" and won the Japan Good Design Award in 2010. Its highlight is the "Four-Part Fireworks Fantasy," a perfect fusion of music and fireworks. In addition, it features Japan's first "Fireworks Tower," bringing together world-class pyrotechnic artists to attract numerous tourists with its unique performances. The grand finale, an upgraded version of "Narita Golden Legend," lasts 10 minutes and is spectacular, featuring 1,500 fireworks in the final minute. You will experience a dynamic display unlike any other, feeling as if you are surrounded by countless fireworks, as if you have entered another dimension.

Kameyama Lake is a dam lake on the Obizu River. Against the backdrop of nature and clear air, fireworks explode into the sky, their sounds echoing through the mountains, creating a magnificent spectacle that is quite popular. The fireworks display lasts approximately 30 minutes, with large fireworks (1.5-inch and 8-inch) primarily used to pray for the warding off of disasters. Despite its warm climate, Chiba Prefecture is renowned for its "fermentation culture," encompassing sake, soy sauce, miso, and rice wine.

The Sawa Festival is an annual celebration of Suwa Shrine, located in Shinjuku Ward on the west bank of the Onogawa River. It is considered one of the "Sawa Grand Festivals," along with the Yasaka Shrine Gion Festival in July. Fourteen floats, each adorned with exquisitely carved dolls approximately 4 meters tall, bravely pull the floats through the streets of Little Edo-Sawa to the melody of Sawa nursery rhymes. The float pullers' hand dances at various locations, and the winding floats weaving through narrow streets like the "Yoji Kaizo" (a type of spinning performance) at intersections, are a major attraction. At night, lanterns are hung on the floats, creating a completely different atmosphere from the daytime. Hand dances accompanied by Sawa dance music are performed in the stage plaza near the Sawa Credit Bank, and food stalls are available in the plazas set up near the parking lots in front of Sawa Station and near Chukei Bridge.

The Narita String Festival is a well-known autumn event in the Narita area, aiming to reaffirm the blessings of Fudo-no-Mikoto, express gratitude for the connection, and further obtain divine protection through celebrations. It primarily features string music performed throughout the Naritasan Omotesando (main approach to the Naritasan mountain), and also includes various activities such as Narita-yori (rakugo) performances in the temple grounds and the Narita-no-Mai (Narita Dance) parade.

The "Iwanuma Lion Dance," an intangible folk cultural property of Chiba Prefecture, is a traditional festival in Chosei Village that has been running for over 400 years. Every October, people participate in the festival activities at the Kosanrei Shrine, praying for the safety of their descendants, abundant harvests, and the warding off of disease, while also performing the lion dance. In the past, a portable shrine was used for offerings, but after an accident that resulted in injury, the shrine was buried and replaced with the lion dance, a practice that has continued ever since. During the festival, you can follow the nostalgic melodies emanating from the shrine forest and experience the atmosphere at the shrine. There are many stalls on the day, and families can gather together to enjoy a joyful time.
