May 18, 2024 (UTC+0)ENDED
Oban
Beth and Kirsty will guide participants in the Rainforest Folk Word Weaving event, where attendees will transform their experiences and connections with the rainforests into a captivating spoken word piece. This collaborative effort will serve as the centerpiece for the upcoming project phase - the creation of a short film. The project is part of a community arts initiative celebrating Oban as a woodland town, taking place in the serene Dunollie Woods. The three spring-time workshops will offer a platform for engaging with local artists, inspiring participants to explore their creativity and senses. Together, they will craft a written reflection on their bond with the rainforests, later transformed into a short film performance for fellow Obanites. All ages and writing skills are welcome, with children required to be accompanied by an adult. Thanks to Climate Action Network Funding, this event is free to attend. Don't miss the Rainforest Folk Word Weaving on May 18, 2024, at Dunollie Woodlands in Oban, PA34 5TT.
