Mums and Bubs Pilates at Patterson Lakes Community Centre is a low impact exercise class designed specifically for mothers and their babies aged 3-12 months. This class aims to help mothers regain their strength post-partum while also focusing on balance and safe movement. During the class, there will be a combination of exercises that involve both mum and baby, as well as exercises where the baby can be in their bassinet or capsule, or on the mat in front of mum. However, it's important to note that all exercises can still be done without the baby if they are content or sleeping. This class is suitable for mothers with babies aged 3-12 months and requires prior booking. Before joining, it's recommended to consult with your GP to ensure that you are ready to return to exercise. Please bring your own mat to the class. The session fee is $5, which can be paid on the day in cash or credit card. If you are new to the class, our friendly staff or volunteers will be available to assist you and provide a new participant form to fill out at the centre.
