Dia de los Muertos Festival | Corpus Christi
Celebration
Spend a full day in downtown Corpus Christi on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1 p.m. to midnight, enjoying live entertainment, visual arts, delicious food, family fun, and authentic cultural experiences. Music will be vibrant across four entertainment stages, encompassing Latin rock, pop, Texas country, mariachi, folk ballet, traditional cultural dance performances, young artists, and some of South Texas's most energetic emerging bands. Downtown and surrounding businesses will join the celebration, offering outdoor dining, live music, and festival specials, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to dance the night away. Art is at the heart of this festival. The jury-selected "Crafts Fair" brings together over 85 artists and artisans, showcasing exquisite artwork, handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and unique Day of the Dead themed creations. Students from Texas A&M University-Corps Christi and Delmar College will demonstrate various artistic techniques, actively volunteer throughout the festival, and share their creativity with visitors. At K Space Contemporary Art Museum, festive visitors can enjoy a series of exhibitions celebrating the spirit of the Day of the Dead, including a fine art exhibition, a youth art exhibition, and the popular "Piñatas Carnival" competition. This year's theme is "Legends: Mexican Stories," inviting teams of K-12 students to create imaginative piñatas, with their works selected through public voting and prize competitions.
