In preparation for HYROX TORONTO this October, Resilience Fitness is partnering with The Village Centre, a state-of-the-art 30,000 sq.ft. indoor facility, to give HYROX lovers from all over the GTA one last HYROX race-day experience before HYROX officially launches in Canada this October! WHY THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU:Are you signed up for HYROX TORONTO in October? -If you said 'YES'- this event is the perfect reflection of race-day vibes! There is no better way to prepare for HYROX TORONTO in October! By participating, you WILL experience a HYROX-type of race-day environment; you'll get a real taste of HYROX competition nerves, fun and excitement. And of course, working through the zones in a simulation-style event with all the running in between.......this is how YOU build confidence for OCTOBER! -If you said 'NO - this is event is still an amazing opportunity for you! Why? Whether you've been intrigued by HYROX, but not ready to commit, or you're double booked and can't attend the big day in October, this is YOUR CHANCE! HOW DOES A 'HALF-HYROX' WORK?Similar to global HYROX events, this simulation will offer Individual & Doubles opportunities with 4+ lines of equipment, prizes, HYROX tips and more! However, the HALF-HYROX format will be HALF of what a FULL HYROX consists of (50% of the running and 50% the volume/reps of a full HYROX event). Particpants will tackle 8 x 500m runs presceding each HYROX zone (such as rowing, walking lunges, wall balls, sled pushes and pulls) — a format that remains consistent across all HYROX events. THE BEST PART: Official HYROX events are always held in large indoor venues SIMILAR TO OURS! This will give YOU the absolute BEST representation of a HYROX race-day environment. Our massive 30,000sq.ft. field house is MODERN and TOP-NOTCH. It gives participants the opportunity to run huge 500M loops (something very hard to mimic indoors) and tons of space for each HYROX zone! WORKOUT FORMAT:RUN 500M ZONE 1: 500m SKI - An intense full-body workout using a Concept2 Skierg RUN 500M ZONE 2: 25m SLED PUSH- Engaging core, glutes, and legs, participants push a weighted HYROX sled RUN 500M ZONE 3: 25m SLED PULL - Sled pull involves pulling the sled towards you using a rope with HYROX sled & rope RUN 500M ZONE 4: 40m BURPEE BROAD JUMP - This zone nvolves participants performing a burpee followed by a broad jump, which challenges both power and agility. RUN 500M ZONE 5: 500m ROW - An intense full-body endurance grind using a Concept2 Rower RUN 500M ZONE 6: 80m FARMER CARRY - Holding heavy kettlebells or weights in each hand, participants walk across a set distance, testing grip strength & endurance. RUN 500M ZONE 7: 40m SAND BAG LUNGES Participants perform lunges, challenging leg strength and balance by holding a weighted sandbag on their shoulders. RUN 500M ZONE 8: 50x WALL BALLS Using a med-ball, participants perform quality wall balls by throwing the ball to hit a target on a wall. -DIVISIONS: Participants must choose the divsion they want to particpate in at registration.-COMPETITIVE DIVISION - **All weighted stations will be similar to the Hyrox Pro weight standards. (Individual & Doubles similar to HYROX PRO weights & standards) -OPEN DIVISION - **All weighted stations will be similar to the Hyrox Open weight standards. (Individual & Doubles similar to HYROX OPEN weights & standards) -EVENT SPACE, VENDORS & ENVIRONMENT-In addition to the fitness, particpants & spectators will experience a venue that is going to be absolutely bumping with a LIVE DJ and massage therapists ensuring participants loosen up before & after their heat! LIVE DJ: WE ARE SO PUMPED FOR THIS!!!! DJ ACLASSwill be bringing the FIRE all day getting us alll through the event with the utmost ENERGY!
