The 9th El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) will be held from October 15th to 23rd, 2026, in El Gouna, on Egypt's Red Sea coast. The festival, themed "Nine Years of Stories," celebrates its ninth anniversary and reaffirms its irreplaceable importance in the global film industry. The theme of this year's festival is "From the Red Sea Coast to the International Cinema Map," aiming to bring together filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts from around the world to appreciate a carefully selected selection of domestic and international films, promote cross-cultural exchange, and foster the emergence of new talent in Arab and international cinema.

The El Gouna Half Marathon is a renowned running competition held in the popular Red Sea resort town of El Gouna. Taking runners through breathtaking landscapes, the route encompasses the sea, Kite Centre Road, golf course, and Downtown El Gouna, with the Start and Finish situated at Abu Tig Marina. Participants can choose between the 21K, 10K, and 5K races, all of which are accurately timed using the MyLaps timing system. On the course, runners will have access to water, bananas, and electrolyte drinks. Additionally, there is a 1K Kids Race that takes place after the main races.
