The 2 Day USCCA Firearm Instructor Re-Certification Class will be held at Illinois Concealed Carry Training in Midlothian. The event, taking place on May 20, 2024, offers a comprehensive curriculum for instructors seeking re-certification. The course includes two phases: first, a thorough review of the online training module created by USCCA expert Michael Martin, followed by a live certification session featuring classroom instruction, hands-on breakout sessions, and live-fire exercises. Upon successful completion of both phases, participants will earn the prestigious title of United States Concealed Carry Association Certified Instructor, enabling them to teach CCW classes in 36 states. Additionally, certified instructors will benefit from being listed on the USCCA website, providing visibility to potential students. Graduates will also have the opportunity to audit classes for the next 2 years, receive telephone support, and refine their teaching skills through co-teaching opportunities. NO FIREARMS or AMMUNITION will be allowed in the classroom during this training. You will learn how to safely draw from the holster from concealment and get rounds down range and on target from a stationary position and while on the move. This is a dry fire class with S.I.R.T laser pistols and our Laser Shot virtual reality smokeless range simulator. Students will make shoot or don't shoot decisions under pressure . Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will guide you through the steps you'll need to go from just sending rounds downrange to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense. From stance to grip to physical shooting technique, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals will help you hone the edge on your inner warrior. You'll get your body working with your gun instead of against it, you'll learn which intuitive skills work best with what your body will naturally do while under stress in a combat situation, and you'll learn to apply this information simply and effectively, regardless of your skill level.
