The is part of the Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival . A walk and talk about the history of Ecton Hill and the involvement of the Dukes of Devonshire. This event also includes a rare opportunity to visit the mine underground through Salts Level. Meeting Point: Manifold Visitor Centre by The Tea Junction, Peak District National Park car park (P&D) , Hulme End. SK17 0EZ. Grid Ref: SK 102 593 . Booking Essential. Access to the mine is controlled by the EHFSA. A charge of £10pp (plus eventbrite fees) is made to cover the travelling expenses etc of their guide. UK’s longest running art and antiques fair The Octagon at the Pavilion Gardens welcomes The Annual Buxton Decorative, Antiques & Art Fair. Featuring more than forty specialist fine art and antiques dealers from across the UK, the fair offers a superb range of treasures with prices from less than £50 to more than £50,000. Among the well-known regular exhibitors will be 19th and early 20th century English furniture and accessories; fine art specialists with 20th century works, contemporary oils and watercolours. A number of decorative specialists will be exhibiting, broadening the fair’s appeal to a younger market. With an enticing mix of 20th century furniture, mirrors, garden accessories, country house pieces and striking statuary, they make the Buxton Fair a new destination for interior designers and decorators. Other dealers specialising in Art Nouveau glass and bronzes, Maps & Prints; silver; and jewellery are also regulars at Buxton Decorative, Antiques & Art Fair. Held in its special setting in the famous spa town in the Peak District, the Buxton Antiques Fair has been a major attraction for collectors across the Midlands and North of England for the past fifty years. Join us for a day of adventure at our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) family activity day. Explore tailored activities designed to nurture diverse abilities and create a supportive environment for everyone. Foster social connections and engage in activities that promote sensory exploration and skill development. Throughout the day, a wide range of activities will be available: - High and low ropes - Zip wires - Climbing walls - Mountain biking - Orienteering - Artificial cave exploration - Problem-solving challenges - Canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding - Rock or stream scrambling - Off-site mountain biking - Abseiling - Caving - Bushcraft What to Bring: - Packed lunch and drink - Old clothing suitable for getting dirty and wet (no denim) - Extra jumper/fleece - Waterproof jacket and trousers - Trainers or walking boots - Wellingtons - A change of clothes for wet or dirty activities - Towel and toiletry kit - Bin liner (for wet kit at the end of the day) - Money for ice cream, sweets, or souvenirs - Sunscreen, hats, and insect repellent - Labelled medication if required The day begins at 9:30 am and conclu des at 4:30 pm. We can offer complimentary transportation services for the day, with pick-up (9:15am) and drop-off (4:45pm) at Buxton train station. Please be advised that our minibuses do not have a wheelchair lift. If you wish to utilise this service, kindly contact the centre in advance to arrange your transport. You can select your top, second, and third choices for activities on the order form below. We will make an effort to notify you in advance of the day’s schedule so that you and your family can begin making plans. However, the weather may cause changes to the day’s plans, so we cannot guarantee how it will go. Should you desire additional information or wish to discuss your child's specific needs, please feel free to contact us. Risk: White Hall holds an Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) Licence, demonstrating that our safety management systems adhere to nationally accepted standards of good practice. While every effort is made to minimise, all outdoor activities inherently involve some level of risk. Highly skilled and qualified staff oversee all activities, utilising necessary safety equipment provided by the centre. Should you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss. Health: Please inform us of any medical conditions or medications relevant to your child. White Hall Centre staff cannot provide or administer any medication. Conditions of Booking 1. I understand that participation in outdoor activities involves elements of risk and agree for my child to participate. 2. I understand that if my child does not wish to participate in any elements of the course then they should inform the course leader. 3. I agree that my child will abide by any safety requirements. 4. I understand that in the event of accident, loss or damage, Derbyshire County Council will only accept liability where the accident, loss or damage is caused by the negligence of the County Council, its employees, agents, or subcontractors. 5. I understand that participants are not insured by Derbyshire County Council against cancellation, personal injury, loss, or damage that is not caused by negligence on the part of Derbyshire County Council or its employees, agents, or subcontractors. 6. I understand that any accident, loss, or damage and cancellation insurance must be arranged by myself. 7. I consent that the personal data on this consent form will be kept by White Hall Centre for insurance purposes in line with the General Data Protection Regulations, White Hall’s Privacy Policy, Retention Schedule, and the Limitations Act (1980) for 7 years. In the event of a ‘serious accident’ for 25 years from the birth date of the individual. 8. I authorise the Centre Manager or their representative to consent to any medical treatment on my behalf, which a medical practitioner deems necessary. 9. I understand the Centre reserves the right to cancel any course, which is under-subscribed. In the unlikely event of this occurring alternative arrangements will be offered or fees refunded. 10. I understand that in exceptional circumstances, the centre reserves the right to remove a course member (without refund) if their actions pose a risk to others' safety. 11. I understand that in the event of having to cancel my child’s place on this course the following criteria will apply: · Within 1 month of the course date - full payment will still be payable · Before 1 month of the course date - 25% will be payable.
