Sports & Fitness
The Women's Specific Clinic, known as Women's 102 A Solid Base [3hrs]: MTB Skills with Huck It, is an essential learning experience for riders looking to enhance their mountain biking abilities. With a focus on core techniques, participants will have the opportunity to ride smoother, faster, and safer. The clinic covers a range of topics including vertical range of motion, passive vs active movement, bike angulation, and bike-body separation. By understanding the importance of body position and utilizing their full range of movement, riders can greatly impact their traction, control, and energy conservation.
This clinic is designed for intermediate riders who are eager to push themselves to more advanced terrains. However, it is also suitable for beginners who are looking to develop their foundational skills. Traction and control are emphasized in order to achieve a seamless flow down the trail. Each participant can choose the level of challenge that suits them best.
It is important to note that beginner participants should be able to confidently ride up and down green trails without stopping or putting a foot on the ground. This clinic is not intended for first-time riders. While the course primarily caters to adults, accompanied children aged 12-15 are welcome, as long as their parent agrees to treat the clinic as an adult-only session.
The Women's Specific Clinic will take place on February 10, 2024, at Black Stump Parking, Lot 4539 Mundaring Weir Road, Hacketts Gully, WA 6076. The ticket price for this event is $90.
