Course Brief: This class covers the basics of using your chosen rifle, whether it be bolt-action, lever-action or semi-auto. Perfect for those thinking of buying a rifle or have a rifle but limited rifle shooting experience. The class will give students the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to build a solid foundation for owning and shooting the rifle of their choice. MotivateMe Run Club Series - Powered by lululemon, Hosted by The Hotel at Avalon Calling our sporty socials! The Hotel at Avalon is excited to continue our Run Club Series Powered by lululemon every month. Our first event kicks off September 9th getting you primed for a fun and active year. Get up and running with us September 9th and then each and every 1st Monday of the Month. Whether you're new to running, training for a marathon, or a fitness walker, this is the run club series for you. Arrive by 6:00 p.m. at lululemon Avalon and meet your run coach Betsy Magato. She will guide you on a 45-minute run ending at an Avalon favorite, South City Kitchen at The Hotel at Avalon. There you can kick back, relax, and connect with your run club friends. Each runner will enjoy a complimentary cocktail or mocktail on the South City Kitchen Patio, reserved exclusively for our MotivateMe Monday Run Club participants. *Additional Food and Beverage will be available for purchase. This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a pistol. The course is designed to provide beginning shooters a hands-on learning introduction necessary to own and use a specific pistol and model safely. The course includes FIRST classroom instructions at C.A.S. and Sons Protective Group, 18429 Avalon Blvd., Carson, CA 90746 and range time at Insight, 17020 Alburtis, Artesia, CA Students will learn the NRA’s Rules For Safe Gun Handling, handgun parts and operation of various models, types of calibers, components of ammunition, fundamentals of pistol, cleaning the weapons, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol handbooks, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, and FIRST Steps course completion certificate. This course will offer students the opportunity to apply for their Utah and Arizona CCW Permit, also DOJ CA Safe Handling Certificate in order to purchase a firearm--ALL for additional fees.
