Fuji Shibazakura Festival | Fujikawaguchiko
Celebration
The Fuji Shibazakura Festival, one of the largest in the metropolitan area, is located near Lake Motosu. Across its 2.4-hectare venue, 800,000 shibazakura (moss phlox) plants create a breathtakingly beautiful scene when combined with the majestic backdrop of Mount Fuji.
The venue features a relaxing "observation foot bath" where you can soak your feet while admiring the stunning views of Mount Fuji and the shibazakura flowers, warming both body and soul. You can also order a cup of coffee and enjoy the panoramic view of the entire shibazakura field with friends from the observation deck.
For just a few weeks each year, the fields around Mount Fuji transform into a magical carpet of pink, white, and purple hues, while the snow-capped peak of Fuji stands majestically in the background. The striking contrast creates a breathtaking spectacle.
