The First Light Art Festival of Yingdu Back Street | Qingdao
Celebration
The inaugural Yingdu Backstreet Light Art Festival grandly opened in Yingdu Backstreet, Qingdao West Coast New Area, marking the official completion of the Yingdu Backstreet cultural tourism scenic area and adding a new landmark to the integration of culture and tourism and the development of the nighttime economy in the West Coast. As the first major event after the completion of Yingdu Backstreet, this year's Light Art Festival will last for one month (May 1st-May 31st), constructing a comprehensive cultural tourism feast with immersive scenes and diverse content. The first giant intelligent canopy umbrella in Northern China, "West Sea Clouds," has made a stunning debut, becoming the core visual landmark of the area; the "Eternal Love" moonlight tree, the fluorescent flower sea light and shadow walkway, and the coffee garden, among other landscapes, intertwine to create a romantic and immersive experience at every turn. The Yingdu Backstreet Light and Shadow Market also opened simultaneously, allowing citizens and tourists to sample Qingdao and national delicacies in one place. Specialties include Gaojia Tangqiu (a type of candied fruit), Wangjie Barbecue, and specially invited Fuzhou fish balls, meat swallows, She ethnic black rice, and Minnan fried vinegar pork. During the Light Art Festival, the Xihai Art Center's theater complex will be fully operational, jointly presenting over 60 high-quality performances including concerts, musicals, Errenzhuan (a traditional Chinese folk art form), children's plays, and magic shows in conjunction with the Music Plaza.
