A rare fireworks display, entirely organized by citizen volunteers, was held in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. The theme for 2026 was "Centennial Celebration." The performance took place at the Dojojuku Green Space in Utsunomiya City, which stretches along the Kinugawa River. The spectacular fireworks display was truly incredible. Numerous food stalls were set up around the viewing area, adding to the summer atmosphere. Please note the three-part synchronized music and fireworks display. The third segment, "Utsunomiya, Eternal City of Thunder 2026 ~Centennial Fireworks~," in particular, is a breathtaking dynamic feast of light, shadow, and sound effects.

We will be exhibiting with Shiba Inu artist Kururii at the Autumn Thanksgiving Festival held at Yamaguchi Orchard on October 26th. Kururii plans to sell goods and mini original paintings. We will also be participating in the stage decoration for the second day of the Otani Book Club. Please enjoy the autumn of art and food in Utsunomiya together.

The Bramten Festival originated approximately 300 years ago. Held annually on the third Saturday of November at Hagurosan Shrine, it is a grand festival dedicated to praying for a good harvest and the well-being of families. The Bramten is a 15-meter-long pole made of moso and real bamboo, adorned with colorful tassels. Young men, clad in happi robes, carry the Bramten along the shrine's approach to Mt. Haguro (458.2 meters above sea level), chanting "Essa essa." Starting in 2024, the festival will also feature flower fountains and hula dances in kimono. On the day of the festival, approximately 100 stalls and food vendors line the roadside, creating a bustling atmosphere. Don't miss the numerous stalls selling yuzu, a specialty of Kawachi.

This exhibition will showcase 70 works by 42 artists associated with Impressionism, including Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, and Pissarro, as well as Millet, Corot, and other Barbizon School painters who influenced them, and Signac, one of the most important Neo-Impressionist painters.
