The annual winter rendezvous is approaching as scheduled; the 9th Lipu Taro Culture Festival is finally here! Lipu taro was listed as a royal tribute during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. In modern times, Lipu taro and its processed products have been sold well both domestically and internationally, becoming a "magic weapon" for increasing the income and wealth of the people of Lipu, and a well-known "golden brand" of Lipu City. The Lipu taro culture is inextricably linked to the Lipu culture, which has a history of over 2100 years since the county's establishment. It is a microcosm of Lipu culture, encompassing its agricultural practices, cuisine, paper crafts, poetry, folk arts, and other folk customs. It is a concentrated embodiment of the "Lipu spirit" and a gateway for the world to understand Lipu.

The "New Dreams of Lijiang" large-scale landscape show is a landscape theater performance. It demonstrates the flair of the landscape and people of the Lancang. Using a combination of ballet and acrobatics, it consists of four parts: “Mountain and Water Cultivation”, “Life and Eternity”, “Underwater Wonders” and “Oriental Love Songs”. They bring audiences into a colorful fairy tale world. The show includes challenging acrobatic displays such as "Stepping Umbrellas", "Flying Man", "Rolling Light", "Stepping People", "Drilling Circle" and other programs performed by award-winning acrobats at home and abroad.

The performance of "Between Mountains and Waters" is a large-scale Guilin style song and dance show that combines appreciation and artistry. The professional male dan art troupe will bring you a magnificent and amazing panoramic theater viewing experience. "Between Mountains and Waters" is set against the colorful mountains and rivers and the unique and charming ethnic minority culture. It tells the poetic rural life by the Li River and under the Elephant Trunk Hill, and shows the charming southern customs and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in a multi-dimensional and all-round way. "Between Guilin Mountains and Waters" has four chapters: Green Mountains, Beautiful Waters, Strange Caves, and Beautiful Stones.

The 2025 Guilin Art Festival will be held from October 24th to November 2nd. This year's festival maintains a youthful and international approach, showcasing 18 high-quality productions and over 40 performances and events, fostering a diverse artistic ecosystem centered around drama, music, and fine arts. The Guilin Art Festival will open with "Awakening of the Opera" and conclude with "The Lion Boy," two major productions that will connect this artistic feast set amidst the natural beauty of nature.
