The Mito Komon Festival is a festival for Tokugawa Mitsukuni, the second lord of the Mito Domain in Ibaraki Prefecture. The event is held on the first Saturday and Sunday of August every year in the shopping district in the center of Mito City. Its name comes from the famous figure "Mito Komon" who has a connection with the city of Mito. In the past, Nishimura Akira and his entourage would be invited as guests and parade through Mito City, which was called the "Komon Daimyo Parade".
