Winter Art Journalling with Marian Create a fabulous Winter art journal with Marian using a wide variety of techniques and materials! An art journal is a visual diary where you practice creating art while expressing yourself at the same time. An art journal can be anything! Art journals are created using old books or notebooks or you can create your own using packaging. Anything goes as long as you do it for yourself, have fun, and express yourself! Making an art jounral is a playful, creative active where you can explore different materials and medias in a relaxed environment, supported by our local artist, Marian. This is a day workshop from 10am to 3:00pm. Spaces are limited to 8 so early booking is recommended for these popular classes. This class costs £48 per person for the full day. Guided Painting with Ric Join our local artist, Ric, to create a stunning piece or art in an evening! You will start the session by sketching the given scene onto your watercolour paper with the support of your tutor. You will then move onto adding paint under the guidance of your tutor, Ric. Join us for a fabulous, low pressure evening where you will be able to take away your own piece of art work at the end of the workshop! This class costs £9.50 per person. All resources for the session will be provided however, please bring your own brushes and paints should you wish to. You will be able to take your masterpiece home at the end of the session. Monday 2nd June 2025 - 6pm to 9pm Join Susannah as she guides you to create your own 30cm drum shade from scratch! Drum lampshades are versatile and can be styled to fit your interior design. It is not always possible to match lampshades with other soft furnishings so why not create your own! Perhaps you want your lampshade to match cushion covers or curtains. What do I need to bring? The cost of £45 is for the course and the lampshade kit. Please bring your own fabric to finish your drum shade. Choose a colour/design to fit with your interior design! We recommend you choose a lightweight fabric. Cotton, linen or polyester cottons work best. You’ll need half a meter of a standard fabric width (137cm) . Your finish drum shade will be 25.5cm high, so when choosing a print, consider how the print will fit onto your shade.
