This is a Walking Tour of Manningtree, and it's surrounding land, and we walk along part of 'The Essex Way!' On this tour we journey back in time to the 17th century Essex Witch Hunts! This off the beaten track walk, is atmospheric, and gives you a real feel for Manningtree, and it's surrounding land, it must have been much wilder, almost 500 years ago! The walk takes us past haunted ponds, and magical ancient trees, and into the woods! We also walk along part of The Stour Estuary, and see the lapping waters ripple, and small boats bobbing, and birds calling! In such places, the numerous myths, and legends of the Essex Witch Hunts arose, and we hear the tales! HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TOUR Enjoy delicious coffee and cake and toilet stop before the Walking Tour begins Walking Tour of Manningtree and visit the major Essex Witch Sites. Visit haunted ponds, and ancient magical trees! See the Stour Estuary, and experience it's moody atmosphere!
