Duke Kahanamoku OceanFest | Honolulu
Celebration
Every August, Waikiki Beach transforms into the Pacific region's largest celebration of marine sports, Hawaiian water sports culture, and the Aloha spirit. The Duke Kahanamoku Marine Festival returns to the iconic Waikiki Beach for 11 days, from Friday, August 14th to Monday, August 24th, 2026, featuring surfing, paddleboarding, swimming, beach volleyball, canoeing, hydrofoil surfing, dog surfing, and the invaluable legacy of the legendary figure hailed as the father of modern surfing. Now in its twenties, the Duke Marine Festival has become an annual event, not only Hawaii's largest marine sports festival but also one of the most joyful, inclusive, and culturally rich celebrations in the entire Pacific region.
