Lisbon Festival of Saint Anthony | Lisbon
Celebration
From June 3rd to 15th, 2026, Lisbon once again transformed into a grand Santos Populares festival, the city's most popular celebration. The main celebrations took place on the evening of June 12th and throughout June 13th, but the festivities actually began much earlier. From the beginning of June, the air was filled with the smoky aroma of grilled sardines, and Pimbah music wafted from every corner. Locals and tourists alike thronged the streets, dressed as sardines, beer cans, or basil potted plants, singing, dancing, and laughing until late into the night. Lisbon's historic districts—Graça, Alfama, Upper Town, and Moralia—became a labyrinth of food stalls, makeshift bars, and impromptu dance floors.
