Thanks to the City of Swan. Aveley skatepark skateboard , scooter and BMX coaching session Session 1 - 9:00am Session 2 - 10:00am The workshop sessions would be open to any participant over the age of 6. Freestyle Now squad members will offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette, as well as give step by step instructions on how to achieve greater levels of confidence. Each coaching workshop session is 60 minutes in duration. Our facilitators analyze the participants skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. Skills can be taught but confidence cannot. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our instructors speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay this safety message to our participants and reiterate the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Participants are split up into groups based on their skills and or what is required to learn. All participants would need their own equipment and would also be required to wear a helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our facilitators are not able to make repairs to participants equipment during the coaching session. Participants under the age of 6 will be taken on their ability to understand and follow instructions and to control their apparatus. Event Details Join us for a fantastic Cardboard Adventure! Using designer Sam Wilde’s trademark sustainable cardboard puppet style you will travel to Boxville, a land made entirely from sustainable cardboard! Work with the Boxville engineers to craft-a-long with the story and build your own way through the tasks and trials of Boxville, earning everything you need to become a fully-fledged cardboard engineer! You will meet paper dragons, corrugated crabs and cardboard space robots in this STEM skilled, hands on, interactive, cardboard adventure! Accessibility: Suitable for: Ages 4+ and their grown ups The show is one hour and has no interval Outside: The venue is situated off the High Street on an unmarked road. There is a car park at the front of the hub upon arrival. The main doors open automatically Inside: Aveley Community Hub is a wheelchair accessible venue, with a step-free entrance including a ramp and an accessible toilet. There is a hearing assistance system. Motorised scooters are welcomed in public parts of the venue. Customers can charge scooters or wheelchairs at the venue. Take route 22. By train: The nearest National Rail station is Purfleet which is approximately two miles away from the venue. By car: Parking at the venue is free for all users.
