About this event 10-year NFL veteran Keith Smith and The Smith Effect Foundation present the Annual Keith Smith Skills Camp in Covina, California. Open to 250 kids between ages 5-18 (grades 1-12 in the '24-'25 school year), Keith Smith Skills camp will be hosted at Charter Oak High School on April 5th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm PT. The camp will include group football instruction and will focus on character development, leadership and sportsmanship. Participants will receive hands-on training from some of the region’s most experienced players and coaches, while also being taught valuable life skills such as teamwork and dedication. Additionally, there will be frequent off-the-field conversations about leadership, work ethic, and education, as Keith stresses the importance of these intangibles in leading to a healthy and successful life. One of Keith's main objectives in his initiative to give back is to ensure that each child believes in themselves. Please be sure you sign up for a ticket for the correct camp based on ages. When: April 5, 2024 8:00 am - 12:00 pm PT Where: Charter Oak High School Football Stadium 1403 E. Covina Blvd. Covina,California 91723 Eligibility: To be eligible for this event, all participants must be ages 5-18. Participants will be divided into groups based on age and/or skill level. Availability: Space for the camp is limited to just 250 participants, so sign up early to confirm your spot. What Should I Bring to Camp? Please bring shorts, T-shirt, and either tennis shoes or cleats, and hard work with a great attitude! What Will I Get Out of this Camp? Camp T-Shirt On-the-field instruction by coaches & NFL Athletes Water and snacks will also be provided COVID-19 Statement: The Keith Smith Skills Camp will be conducted in compliance with all COVID-19 regulations set forth by Charter Oak High School, the City of Covina and the state of California to ensure the safety for all participants. Notes: To participate in the camp, there will be a waiver for parents/guardians of attendees to electronically sign. This waiver will be sent to the email used to register for camp. In the event of inclement weather (thunder/lightning), the camp will be cancelled and further information will be provided to participants in a timely manner.
