Join Dunblane musician Katherine Wren, artist Orla Stevens and composer Matilda Brown for a series of sound and art workshops and performances reflecting on our changing habitats around Dunblane. The workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities. Book a single workshop or join us for the series! All workshops are free to access with a suggested donation of £10 per workshop. 2nd February 2-6pm - led by artist Orla Stevens, we will explore Dunblane making marks on paper and collecting sounds in response to the environment around us. On return to Weigh Ahead, we'll reflect on what we've heard and seen and also reflect on our changing habitats in the light of human activity and our changing weather patterns as we develop our sketches. 9th February 2-6pm - led by musician Katherine Wren, we will once again venture outdoors for an hour to build on our library of sounds. On return to Weigh Ahead, we'll listen and reflect on how we can combine our sounds to tell a musical story and how this might respond to our artwork. 23rd February 2-6pm Venue tbc- led by composer Matilda Brown and musician Katherine Wren, we'll draw together our artwork and sounds, adding in simple percussion, to create a 10min piece of music. The day will finish with an informal sharing of our new piece at 5pm followed by a short performance of original music by Katherine Wren and Matilda Brown inspired by the environment. Elizabethan theatre is flourishing. But will a brand-new Tudor musical romp, in which Good Queen Bess takes to the stage herself, be the making of this heroine or spell the beginning of her downfall? The stage is set for regicidal rivalries, devious dramatics, and plotting playwrights. Beset by misunderstandings and a script that…let’s just say…needs some work, this production promises to be largely historical, always hysterical. As the old saying goes…thy show must go-eth on! ★★★★★ – “So entertaining…laugh-out-loud funny” ★★★★★ – “Riotously fun. Hugely enjoyable” ★★★★★ – “The ultimate British theatrical experience” – Hastings Independent Press ★★★★★ – “Great fun for the whole family…my kids are still talking about it!” On Wednesday 2nd July, join us at Kilbryde Castle. Bring your own cushions, and camping-chairs and join us on our 10th anniversary open-air adventure. Come prepared for the weather - the performance will continue come rain come shine! This performance is an outdoor performance. We recommend that you bring blankets/chairs/cushions etc. to sit on. Come prepared for the weather with warm coats and waterproofs etc, as the performance will continue come rain come shine! We ask that you don’t bring umbrellas as these can obscure the view for other people in the audience. 7pm start time, gates open from 6pm. The performance will last approximately 100 minutes (+ a 20 minute interval). We recommend booking tickets for this performance online in advance. For further information about this performance please email boxoffice@threeinchfools.com. Information Source: The Three Inch Fools | eventbrite

Hercules the Bear by Tenterhooks Don’t you love a tall tale? Like the one about the Scottish couple who raised a 10ft grizzly bear in their home? Sounds crazy, but it’s no joke. It happened in Sheriffmuir in the 1980s! Hercules eats cooked meals at the dinner table, swims in the swimming pool and even tours in a wrestling show! Hercules' life story is unbelievable, but it really happened. Right here in Scotland. Combining physical comedy and puppetry, Hercules the Bear tells the wild, funny and touching true story of how a very special grizzly bear became a folk legend. For audiences aged 6+ and their adults. Information Source: Tenterhooks | eventbrite
