Come and join an inclusive and welcoming life drawing class at New House Art Gallery - open to all abilities Come and join our fun, queer 18+ life drawing classes from 7-8.30pm, featuring LGBTQ+ models! Basic materials will be provided (such as paper, clipboards, pencils, pastels etc) but bringing your own is encouraged. We will begin with an intro to the space and the model, I will explain the prompts/techniques to try, give you some guidance and we'll get into the creating! We will have a short break mid way and also time for sharing and socialising at the end. The class is open to all abilities (even if you think you can’t draw - you CAN!) and our aim is to create a brave and vulnerable space for us to connect and enjoy the creative process together. John Sanders - The Reproaches John Stainer - T he Crucifixion ‘A Meditation on the Sacred Passion of the Holy Redeemer’ The Crucifixion was first performed in 1887, one year before the enlargement and restructuring of Holy Trinity Guildford, one of the country's most significant churches. The splendour and drama of late Victorian music and architecture thus combine in The English Chamber Choir ’s engaging performance of Stainer ’s portrayal of The Passion , preceded by a modern choral classic in The Reproaches by John Sanders . Fresh on the heels of recent performances at The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Cathedral and Buckingham Palace, ECC is joined by acclaimed vocal soloists Martin Hindmarsh (tenor) and John Holland-Avery (bass). The much-praised organ is played by Martin Ford , Organist & Director of Music at the Guards' Chapel, one of the finest organists of his generation . The concert will run without interval.
