Jilly Kinsey-Wellings, mum of Kieran, Austin and Monty -
"My boys, being a bit older than most of the children there, really entered into the spirit of things and absolutely loved it, so much so that they wanted to come back another day. This was mainly because of the wonderful leadership of the girls coaching, they knew what they were doing but also wanted everyone to have fun, and I think they got the balance right."
Helen Stewart, mum of Peter -
"Peter really enjoyed the daily challenges and being part of the end of day display. He liked the coaches and enjoyed the company of the kids in his group."
Rachel Nebbett, mum of Jay & Charley -
"I was delighted that the children wanted to come to the club, as usually they wouldn't entertain it. The atmosphere was brilliant and they loved all the activities."
Victoria Abbott, mum of Lillie -
"My child really enjoyed herself . Your team were very good . The target books are an excellent idea. Many thanks"

"My daughter absolutely enjoyed it"
Karen Redparth, mum of Tillie -
"Great fun, trusted team leaders, coaching to try & learn new things was fantastic by Emily. Great couple of days thank you."

"Staff were very well organised! Children weren't hyped up at pick up!!!! Children were happy and talked about what they had done, demonstrated later at home. Facilities were fab! Can We Be Great Again? Why a Dangerous world needs Britain. | Rik Medlik Building (University of Surrey)
Jun 6, 2025 (UTC+1)
Old Guildford
The Rt Hon Sir Jeremy Hunt MP joins us on Friday 6 June to discuss his new book and the questions it raises.
Britain has been through a difficult period since the global financial crisis, leading many to conclude the country is doomed to inevitable decline. But Jeremy Hunt, who was at the top of government as both Foreign Secretary and Chancellor, disagrees. In his new book,
Can We Be Great Again?
, he sets out to rebut those who think Britain is no longer capable of shaping the world we live in.
With the election of president Trump, a world that was already becoming more dangerous has also become more unpredictable. But when it comes to the big challenges facing the world – whether on European security, the future of democracy, migration, trade and climate – the UK remains one of the most influential countries and should, Hunt says, use that influence wisely. Hunt does not shy away from the UK’s weaknesses but argues that they should be considered in perspective and without underestimating this country’s many strengths.
After leaving school, Sir Jeremy studied at Oxford University, where he graduated with a first class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
He was elected Conservative MP for South West Surrey in 2005. He was first appointed Secretary of State for Health in September 2012, and then served as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs July 2018 - July 2019.
In October 2022, Sir Jeremy was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer. He served as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer from July to November 2024.
On 4th July 2024, following Parliamentary boundary changes, Sir Jeremy has been elected as the Member of Parliament for the new Godalming and Ash constituency.
Before his election as an MP, Sir Jeremy ran his own educational publishing business, Hotcourses. He also set up a charity to help AIDS orphans in Africa in which he continues to play an active role.
Sir Jeremy divides his time between Westminster and his constituency home in Surrey with his wife, son and two daughters.

Shofar Guildford Church Plant Celebration Weekend | Queen Eleanor's C of E Junior School
Jun 13, 2025 (UTC+1)
Old Guildford
On Friday evening, the 13th, we will have a praise and worship night. All are welcome, but the focus will be on our youth and for them to invite their friends as an outreach opportunity.
On Saturday afternoon, we invite you all to join us for a social event, where you can rekindle old friendships, make new friends and enjoy a fun afternoon of good food and fellowship. Wouldn’t it be amazing to reunite with old “Shofarites” to share old and new stories and testimonies!
This event will follow with an evening of worship and a session with Ps.Yinka Oyekan (former president of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and senior pastor of The Gate in Reading). Yinka is the founder of The Turning, through which he has led several missions throughout the UK and Europe. He was also one of the speakers at the Shofar Convergence Conference in 2022 and 2024.
On Sunday, we will have our church launch service in the morning with Pastor Heinrich Titus (leader of Shofar International) and his wife, Nikki, all the way from South Africa - what a privilege! And what is a celebration without cake! Join us for tea and cake after the service. A light lunch will also be provided for those who want to stay a bit longer. This is optional and can be purchased through registration.
During the weekend, we are so blessed to have James Pringle ( leader of Shofar Worship globally) and Rikus Jonck (from Shofarband) with us, they will be leading us in praise and worship.
Our church service on Sunday will be a combined service with Shofar Wimbledon and invited leaders of the Guildford community. As we are partnering with Barnabas Churches UK, they will also be joining and supporting us during the weekend.
For those with little ones, there will be Children’s Church on Sunday morning during the service, and a live stream of Saturday night’s session to the Children’s room, for parents to watch while children play with toys and craft activities available.

Guildford - Powered Up Business Networking - May 2025 | The Weyside
May 8, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Old Guildford
A great vibe, always friendly so don't spend too long deciding if you want to join us - we have sold out this year!
Please note, we are in a new pub! The Weyside, Millbrook!
Powered Up Business Networking (PUBNetworking) is an “out of hours” networking event that does away with the usual networking formalities.
You’ll get to learn about the people behind the business - without a torrent of sales pitches …and bland tea and coffee. And you’ll get to have a lot of laughs whilst you’re at it!
As you know, the best business connections are the people you want to spend time with outside of work. They’re the people you can trust, and whose company you enjoy. PUBNetworking is the place to find them.
We have a loose structure, relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to learn from other business experts - with no strings attached.
Just bring yourself, your e-ticket and your best smile and you’re good to go.
Each event has four objectives…
Meet awesome people
We have a wide range of business people that attend. From start-ups to those with 30 years experience - across a wide range of industries. Everyone that attends is under no obligation to attend (we have no memberships, or contracts) so they’re there purely to meet people like you.
Build long-lasting relationships
We believe in a 'people buy from people' philosophy. In a relaxed environment, everyone feels comfortable and the connections you make are less forced, and more genuine. You’ll get to know each person in more detail - and have a good time doing so.
Learn things without pitches
Each event is productive and valuable. And we want everyone to walk away having learned something new. Our speakers offer genuine value, without sneaky sales pitches. We want you to take what you learn and use it to benefit your business.
Have fun
And above all, we want you to have fun. Sometimes that’s easier with a drink in your hand (it also makes the terrible jokes slightly more tolerable…). Our networking events are all about you, your passions and your business success.
What’s happening this month?
This month, our speaker is the awesome Karen Young. We are just finding out the name and content of her talk.
Location
Held at The Weyside, Millbrook, we have their Boathouse room all to ourselves. And a great selection of drinks too!
Plan for the night:
7.30 - Meet, greet & network. Your chance to sign in, grab a drink and speak to anyone you’d like.
7.50 - Introduction from Allen.
7.55 - Your chance to tell the room about yourself with a PUBNetworking difference…
8.20 - 1-2-1 with someone you like.
8.35 - Grab a drink/have a break.
8.50 - Presentation from Karen.
9.15 - Close the meeting and optional further networking.
9.30 - End/move into The Weyside to have a further drink should you wish.
Important:
Due to the nature of the venue, and room size, there are a limited number of spaces available.
If you’d like to come along and enjoy a great evening of laughs, laid-back networking and actionable business help, reserve your space with an e-ticket now.
Tickets cost: £14.77
(And there’s probably no better way to spend it!)
See you there!

Nature walk with local guidebook authors | Guildford Town Bridge
May 9, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Old Guildford
Join Niké and Jacint, authors of
Short Walks in the Surrey Hills
(and many others) for a fantastic day out in the lush Surrey Hills.
The route
Distance: 14km
Time: 5hr(approx.)
Total ascent/descent: 365m
Start: Guildford Town Bridge (by the The White House pub)
You will be experiencing some of the history and nature around the beautiful town of Guildford that lies in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Along the walk you can find out more about how guidebooks are made if you are interested.
Walk leaders: Jacint Mig and Niké Werstroh
We will visit the ruins of St Catherin's Chapel overlooking the town with great views before continuing through paths in the Chantry Woods and onto St Martha's Hill with its church and churchyard for one of the best views in the Surrey Hills. We will also walk through the must see Chilworth gunpowder mills before returning to the centre of Guildford.
Parking: Parking is available at Portsmouth Road car park, Millbrook car park or at Farnborough Road car park. Both are really close to our start point. The train and bus stations are only 5min walk away too. Toilets are only available in town at the start and at Shalford Park which is about 1hr into the walk.
Who is it for
Everyone is welcome on our walk with a reasonable fitness level. There are some moderate ascents and descents on the walk, but we won't be leaving anyone behind. If you have any health issues we need to know about, please let us know before we start the walk.
What to bring
It is a fairly long walk so make sure you bring picnic lunch, snacks and at least 1.5l of water. There aren't any shops along the way once we left the town.
Make sure you wear adequate comfortable walking shoes/boots for the day.
We are of course hoping for stunning sunny weather on the day with no mud underfoot, but we have to be prepared for any weather, so please bring a waterproof jacket and an extra layer.
Sun cream and a hat are highly advised.
Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome on this walk.
Who we are
We are Niké and Jacint, authors of several walking guidebooks including the Short walks in the Surrey Hills and Short walks in the South Downs.
We are based in Guildford and got to know the trails and nature around the Surrey Hills really well. We are extremely passionate about what we do and would like to share our experience, knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone who is interested. So we welcome you to join us for a bit of walking in our beloved area.

KAP Open Class Guildford - Kundalini Activation Process | Merrow Village Hall
May 11, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Old Guildford
Join Us for a Kundalini Activation Process (KAP) Open Class in Guildford!
Location:
Merrow Village Hall, Guildford
Address:
177 Epsom Rd, Guildford GU1 2QY (Car parking available)
Experience a transformative session at Merrow Village Hall, Guildford, that combines energy transmission, meditation, and body connection to activate your Kundalini energy. Whether you're new to spiritual practices or experienced, this class is open to everyone who feels called to explore this powerful journey.
What to Expect:
KAP is a direct transmission of Kundalini energy, activating the awakening of your life force in a gradual yet powerful way. This process helps free you from what no longer serves you, raising your vibration and aligning you with your true nature. Unlike traditional Kundalini practices, KAP energy descends from the crown to the root, facilitating a more natural and embodied awakening.
During this session, you'll lie down with your eyes closed as the facilitator channels the energy, gently guiding you through a process of surrender. There’s no need for prior experience—just allow yourself to receive and let go. The energy will guide you to exactly what you need at this moment, bringing deep insights, emotional releases, heightened intuition, and a stronger sense of purpose.
Why Activate Your Kundalini?
Activating Kundalini energy leads to profound shifts in your life, offering greater clarity, deeper states of consciousness, and a more connected sense of self. People often report feeling more aligned with their true path, experiencing greater purpose, and living with an open heart.
What Happens in a Session?
You’ll simply lie down as music plays, and the facilitator will guide the energy through gentle touches to the forehead, crown, and belly. KAP is about surrendering to the process—not about forcing Kundalini to rise. It’s a safe, natural energy work where participants commonly feel vibrations, body movements, emotional releases, or states of bliss.
Class Facilitator: Phillippa Gail
Trained and accredited as a KAP Level 2 Facilitator by KAP founder Venant Wong, Phillippa will guide you through this journey with care and experience.
What to Bring:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing
Bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on
Cozy socks or a blanket for colder months
Eat healthy & lightly on the day of the event
Avoid heavy or fried during the day, eat as healthy as possible
Please try not to eat within 1 to 2 hours prior to session
Make sure you are hydrated.
All Are Welcome:
No previous experience with meditation, yoga, or spiritual practices is required. KAP is for anyone interested in deepening their connection to themselves and their life force energy.
