We are excited to announce that the seminars will be held in person at Kepler's Books in Menlo Park, California, the first time in three years. For those unable to attend in person, there is an option to participate virtually.
During each 90-minute session, Kimberly Ford will take you on a deep dive into four extraordinary books carefully selected for this series. To fully engage in the discussions, we recommend purchasing the books, which are available at Kepler's Books. If you prefer, they can be shipped to you free of charge.
The series begins on March 21 with "Cassandra at the Wedding" by Dorothy Baker, a captivating story of twin sisters reuniting on the eve of one twin's wedding. On May 23, we delve into "The Pursuit of Love" by Nancy Mitford, a witty and insightful exploration of the eccentric English aristocracy in the early 1900s. "Slow Days, Fast Company: the World, the Flesh, and L.A." by Eve Babitz is our focus on September 5. This evocative memoir-like novel offers a unique glimpse into 1960s and 70s Hollywood. Finally, on November 7, we explore "Frankissstein" by Jeanette Winterson, a thought-provoking blend of speculative fiction and historical fiction, intertwining the story of Dr. Stein with Mary Shelley's writing of "Frankenstein."
To ensure everyone's safety, masks are required for all attendees above the age of 2 and must be worn throughout the event.
