UVT Liberty Marathon set out as a manifesto of running which makes us different, unique, which sets us free. It is a competition for experienced runners, but also for young people or children who try running in a marathon for the first time. The two categories of races, timed and untimed, enable each runner to pick the most suitable challenge. There is a race for everyone. Until 2021, when Timișoara is a European Capital of Culture, we want UVT Liberty Marathon to be a well-established international event for this sport.

SportGuru Timisoara 21K is an ambitious sporting event aimed at positioning Timisoara as a significant hub in the national and international grassroots sports arena. The 21-kilometre course, designed to showcase the charm of the city along the Bega River, begins and ends in Libertatii Square, a landmark location in Timisoara. The race promises to be both enjoyable and fast-paced, allowing runners to test their personal bests over this distance. Timisoara Half-marathon caters to runners of all ages and skill levels, from elite athletes to beginners. The competition ensures that there is a suitable race for everyone, regardless of their experience.
