Our popular boutique festival returns for the 5th year in Woodbridge, the home of ambient music. We look forward to welcoming you again! Welcome to the 5th year of the Woodbridge Ambient Music Festival 2026! We are planning a perfect "slow down" weekend with beautiful music and events including A fabulous Full Moon reception overlooking the river on Friday 25th at the Tidemill and Art Haven. Saturday 26th - Ambient Chill in Whisstocks Place; Ambient Voices Workshop and performance; Ambient Label hub at St. Mary’s Church with the annual Saturday evening highlight performance by Tom Rogerson and friends. Sunday 27th - An early morning ambient amble along the river followed by Slow Sessions in the Shire Hall and an evening at the Ambient Angel. and so much more to be announced! This year we are turning the Art Haven on Tidemill Way into a Festival Hub. We will be there from Monday September 20th selling tickets and merchandise with workshops, installations, exhibitions, information etc. leading up to, and including, the Festival Weekend of September 25th-27th. The festival is grass roots and relies on ticket sales, local sponsorship and the extreme generosity of volunteers, musicians and many performers and organisers who gift their time to make the festival affordable for the ambient and local community - a true community festival! The Story of Kooyar | Perth

A small frog bearing a heavy responsibility becomes the focus at Elizabeth Quay in Perth, as "The Story of Kuyal" vividly brings the Nungar legend to life on a giant water screen. This free, all-ages experience, organized by the Western Australian Government in partnership with Tourism WA, runs from September 25th to 28th and transforms the Debarjerigan (Swan River) region with detailed animated illustrations, lighting effects, atmosphere creation, and original sound effects. As Kuyal traverses the Nungarbuda, black-tailed parrots herald the changing seasons, the waterways begin to flow, and wildflowers bloom, showcasing the deep and close connection between humans, animals, and the land. The 20-minute show runs continuously from 7 pm to 10 pm each evening, allowing visitors to leisurely enjoy the spectacular performance against the Perth skyline. Beyond the water shows, wandering karak (red-tailed black parrot) puppets roam Elizabeth Quay, offering audiences a captivating large-scale puppet show and visual narrative. A live performance by the Indigenous dance troupe "Corroboree For Life" will add another layer of excitement to the evening, sharing First Nations culture and stories through dance and music.
