No experience necessary - this class is perfect for absolute beginners. Get ready to move to the rhythm of the islands in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the music and culture as you learn simple steps and grooves. Don't miss out on this opportunity to try something new and exciting! This class is not limited solely to island dance. Rather, island dance is used as just one of the tools that we use to feel into our femininity. I will be going over other tools that help us soften and allow us to actually feel. What to expect: 1) In the first 3 hours you will learn: How to do the basic island swaying of the hips in different directions and in different combinationsYou will learn the actions to one, basic, absolute beginner level island danceYou will also learn 3 different tools that you can use to shift your energy to a space of softness at any time, as needed2) In the 4th hour you will create your own Floral Headpiece. Materials and guidance will be provided. This experience is about so much more than just learning the basic steps to Island dance. This will give you a beautiful foundation and tools to assist you when everyday life feels a little crazy.
