Join the "River Runs" choir and be part of an extraordinary musical experience at St. John's Church in Lancaster. The River Runs is the final commission in the Mill Race Cultural Programme and will showcase the rich musical heritage of the mill race area through the power of song. Led by renowned choir leader and voice specialist, Loz Kaye, this unique event invites local singers and choirs to come together in a series of workshops that will culminate in a mesmerizing "installation of song" on Saturday, February 24th. No previous singing or musical experience is required - just come with an open mind and a passion for music. Together, we will create a captivating 10-minute piece that will be performed multiple times throughout the "River Runs" event. Make sure to attend at least one of the three workshop rehearsals beforehand, held at The Friends Meeting House, The Social Room, on Meeting House Lane, Lancaster, LA1 1TX. Families and young people are encouraged to participate, with an age guidance of 11+. Those under 15 years old should be accompanied by an adult. For any inquiries, contact alice@lancasterarts.org.
