Hailing from Kumasi, Ghana, Va-Bene is a trans woman currently residing in her hometown. She is the visionary behind several groundbreaking initiatives, such as the crazinisT artisT studiO (TTO), Our Railway Cinema Gallery (ORCG), and perfocraZe International Artists Residency (pIAR). Through these platforms, Va-Bene aims to revolutionize the arts by fostering collaborations between local and international artists, activists, researchers, curators, and critical thinkers. Va-Bene's thought-provoking performances and installations delve into crucial topics such as gender stereotypes, queerness, identity politics, and sexual stigma. By shedding light on the consequences faced by marginalized individuals and communities, she challenges societal norms. Following the talk, there will be a Q&A session. This event is proudly supported by the School of Arts, English and Languages at Queen's University Belfast. This tour is perfect for any age group and is a great way to spend a few outs of your day.

We were led by a big-bellied man, who took the middle staircase to the second floor. He asked us to introduce ourselves at the circular handrail in the middle. We were from all over the country, and most of us were foreigners. Then he led us to the parliament hall, which is where the parliamentarians usually hold meetings. There was a microphone at each seat. He then began to talk about the origin and function of this building, and spoke with great vigor. Everyone could sit anywhere, even the speaker&#39;s seat. After the introduction, he led us to visit other halls. The huge banquet hall was covered with thick and beautiful red carpet. I can&#39;t remember which hall was covered with blue carpet.
