STAFF APPRECIATION: I would like to thank Xiao Yang, Xiao Yi, and Master Li for their care during my stay. They were kind, professional, warm, patient, and proactive. They were also incredibly accommodating with my inability to speak more than a little Chinese. Xiao Yang even made a point to speak English with me during breakfast and checkout. Master Li was very tolerant with my last-minute requests for pickup and drop off and Xiao Yi quickly located and added me on WeChat to allow us to chat more comfortably. As it was raining, she even met me by the car with an umbrella when I arrived. I felt quite pampered! DIRECTIONS: To reach the hotel requires a few transfers. It's not too troublesome and is well worth it! 1) I arrived at the Wulong South Railway 🚉 and followed the exit signs outside. 2) To the left was the large blue bus 🚌 mentioned by another reviewer. It will take you to the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center for 16 yuan. From here you can reach the most popular tourist destinations in Wulong to include the Three Bridges. 3) Outside the center you’ll find another blue fairy bus which will take you to the mountain itself for an additional 8 yuan. This bus will stop at the gate where tickets will be checked. Be sure to contact the hotel and give them your information before you set off because the cost of this ticket is included with your stay! They will reserve the ticket for you and send you confirmation and any relevant information. Otherwise, it is 50 yuan per person. 4) This bus will drop you off at a plaza with a few shops and the boarding platform for the scenic train. 🚂 Contact the hotel and someone will come to pick you up, as private vehicles are not permitted beyond this point. REVIEW: If availability and your budget permit, I cannot emphasize strongly enough how much it is worth it to splurge on the room with a 270-degree view of the property. I went on a foggy, wet weekend and still found the view incredible. The windows cover three walls. I can only imagine how amazing the sky must look on a clear night. The minibar has a good selection of free snacks and drinks and a sampling of the local tea. Meals are also served at the hotel. The cost is not low, but for the exclusivity of the location, I considered it more than fair compared to what I’ve paid elsewhere. Also, the dishes looked and tasted great. There are also vendors down the hill where the train and shops (show in the picture below) are located. Look for the sign identifying the train exit and go down the steps. These were the only places I saw to purchase food, drinks, or supplies once you pass the entrance to the mountain, so plan accordingly. By the way, tickets for the scenic train were included with the reservation as well. I highly recommend it. It stops at the grasslands and the horse stables. Now, I will allow the pictures to speak for me. TLDR: Multiple transfers lead to a place that is secluded and picturesque and right in the heart of the mountain. That means your dining choices will also be limited, but the meals provided (at a cost) were delicious. Tickets to the mountain and scenic train are included in the price. A photo session is included as well, but I did not utilize it. I recommend setting out earlier to miss the worst of the crowds. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The room with the 270-degree view offers the best experience. 10/10 recommend for those seeking quiet and the peace only nature can bring. 🏞

We were a family of four (two adults, two children) on a trip to Chongqing, and after much searching, we chose this guesthouse. It offered great value for money. The room was clean and spacious enough, providing ample room for our two little ones to move around. The host contacted us in advance to provide directions and important information, and also recommended some tourist spots and restaurants. The guesthouse's location is ideal; many attractions are within walking distance. Cloud Eyes, Yangtze River Cableway, Xiaoshizi Metro Station, Jiefangbei, and Bayi Street are all just a short stroll away.

The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure. While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort. The most delightful stay of my Chongqing trip! Living in a century-old open-port mansion truly enhanced the experience ✨. The building itself is steeped in history, with grey brick archways and vintage corridors. The courtyard is filled with various plants, making every step a beautiful scene and creating a wonderful atmosphere. The location is superb, right in the old Xiahaoli street, perfect for exploring and dining on foot. The guesthouse has its own cafe. When you have some free time, order a coffee in the courtyard and quietly enjoy the slow pace of life in this mountain city. The room amenities are excellent, blending the charm of an old building with modern comfort, and the staff are gentle and polite. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet still connected to the old town's vibrant life. You absolutely must experience this place when you come to Chongqing!

Staying here felt like being welcomed into the home of a deeply cultured family. The décor is a beautiful, personal curation: art and personal book collection, vintage porcelain, silk cushions, and carefully chosen artworks. Nothing feels excessive or staged. Every object has intention behind it — a celadon vase here, a bronze figurine there — and yet the overall feeling is one of warmth and ease, not a museum. The rooms are serene, the linens impeccable, and the little touches — embroidered pillow slips, a hand-painted watercolour above the bed — speak of a host who genuinely cares. The lady boss is a gracious and soft spoken lady. She offers just the right amount of company and showed us the warmth of Gongtan residents through her actions and food. This is not just a place to sleep. It is a place that stays with you.

Booked this hotel for the loft room type which has only 1 unit. Note that there are only 14 rooms across 2 floors located in a commercial building. Seems like it is very common in cq to have such hotels which are occupying floors in a building. The room has a great view of Jiefangbei and you can see the monument from the room. Pls note that the location of the room is just next to the entrance which i didn't like (personal preference) but it didn't affect me in terms of noise. Smart system, tv projector The room is using a smart system which you can control through voice. However this proved to be a problem for me instead as everytime I returned and put in the key card, the same settings operate e.g. music automatically plays and the announcement starts and I have to ask it to stop playing the music. The lighting is also preset with hindered the brightness of the projector. Note that there is no tv, only a projector with iqiyi inbuilt so there are no tv channels and most of the shows require a subscription to play. I wasn't able to adjust the lights according to what I want. So if I wanted a very clear resolution, I had to turn off all lights. Bathroom The toilet seat was automatic with bidet. As it is automated, you have to press a button to open the seat cover everytime you want to use. If you use the disposable seat cover, it cannot detect you and halfway using the toilet, the seat keeps coming down to close as it closes automatically. The position of the handheld shower is also very low. I'm 1.68m tall which was the perfect height but anyone taller will hit the shower. One very important point to note is also that the hotel only uses disposable towels to my dismay. They do not have regular towels. If I had known I wouldn't have booked this hotel. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in cq. There are also no hooks in the bathroom and the sink is outside the bathroom. During my stay it rained a bit so the area just beside the bed had a pool of water which likely came from a leak in the building. For this room, the electronic curtains were also unable to cover the room totally due to the stairs going up to the bed. Aircon Due to the size of the room, I felt that the ac wasn't strong enough to cool the room totally. In conclusion, the hotel has a great location and good service but if I had known the above, I would hv chosen another regular hotel with tv, regular towels etc. I wanted to check out after 1 night but didn't as it was just simply too troublesome and my booking was non refundable.

A cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings. Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends. The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on. There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn. A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day. The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish. The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there. My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

A fantastic hotel. Very conviniently located near a subway station, it is a calming oasis in the midst of the Chongqing buzz. The crew is super nice and accomodating, the views are great, the rooms charming and the breakfasts are tasty. Also, plenty of coffee available and the matresses are comfy. The area is a hip, renovated old quarter, somewhat overpriced, but you can easily get to other parts of the city without ever buying an expensive matcha. However, returning to the lush & green area in the evening was awesome.

In front of Metro.It is situated close to major attractions, shopping areas, restaurants, and public transportation, making it very easy to explore the city. The surrounding area is vibrant yet safe, offering stunning city views, especially at night when the skyline lights up beautifully. Whether you are visiting for leisure, family vacation, or business purposes, the location provides excellent accessibility. The room exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The bed was extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens and pillows that ensured a restful sleep every night. Cleanliness was impeccable — every corner of the room, including the bathroom, was spotless and well maintained. The housekeeping team did a remarkable job of keeping the room fresh, tidy, and well stocked with amenities throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the room. The large windows allowed natural light to fill the space during the day, while at night, the panoramic city view created a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. Safety and security at the hotel were also excellent. The hotel maintained strong security measures, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay. This is especially important for travelers visiting the city for the first time. Overall, this hotel delivers outstanding service, excellent facilities, and superb comfort. The combination of strategic location, beautiful views, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service makes it one of the best accommodation choices in Chongqing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, and I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

I had checked in with a short delay but it was a good apartment, you enter the apartment with a code for the duration of your stay which is perfect. The amenities are good enough for a solo traveler and it’s not too far from the closest subway station, about 10 minutes walk up a hill. There’s a fridge and washing machine with good views of the city, I would recommend it if you’re on a budget and want to save money. The amenities are pretty good for the price, I would probably stay there again
