Domus Lina

We've stayed at Domus Lina several times. It's a fantastic value and located in a great part of the town of Fiumicino. It's a boutique hotel that has many personal touches. I recommend one of the larger rooms with the balcony. Check in is at 2pm. Once you have your room key, you're also given a front door code to use when the manager is not there. If you're around in the morning (many folks have an early departure at the airport), the breakfast on offer is fantastic. And just across the street is a wonderful fish restaurant to have dinner or lunch at.

This hotel is very compact but they maximized on the actual accommodation space. My room was on another building and the receptionist who was very sweet, gave me a tutorial with the keys and elevator. If you're not as familiar with Europe as I am, this was am absolutely necessary step. Once I was in, the room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was just as nice. Sitting on the Tiber river, from the hotel, you get a nice view of the river and street below. The room was also surprisingly very quiet as I was unable to hear any traffic once the windows were closed. Breakfast was served in my room at precisely the requested time on my first morning which was tasty and wholesome and for my second morning, I needed to go to the breakfast station on the main building... which was okay. The location is 10 to 15 minutes walk from most of the sites and about 30 to 35 minutes walk from the colessuem. I felt quite safe while walking but still vigilant of course and the reception also gave me a map, showed me how to use and and educated me on the best routes to take to maximize my time. All in all, great room, service and location. I would highly recommend. For improvements though, they could give their guest an oral care set and bed slippers as with many hotels I stayed at on this trip

Temple View FCollection Superior Relais

Pantheon
The hotel gets rave reviews. I'm not that enthusiastic though it is certainly a reasonable place to stay. (My wife was more enthusiastic than me.) The location is central, which is good, though I'd prefer to be several blocks farther west. The hotel is clean and the room is bright and cheery with a big window and very high ceilings. Furniture is Ikea white or something similar. Bathroom is fine, though the fancy shower mentioned in other reviews is meant for a much larger enclosure, making taking showers a bit awkward. Views were quite nice from our room, 1 of 3 that face the temple. Temple views are terrific and the open space it creates gives you a larger scale view of a bit of the city. The hotel entrance is hard to find. Up an alley and marked only by a small plaque on the wall (see photos). Initially having rung the bell, or with a key once you are checked in, you go into a dingy building and up to the 5th floor in a tiny, antique but perfectly serviceable elevator to the nicely renovated area of the ”relais.” Kitchen is available all the time which is nice. Breakfast is mostly of packaged items with a good coffee maker, but no cappuccino. You'd do much better at the pastry shop (Caffe Camerino) a block away. The family that manages the hotel is quite nice and extremely accommodating. They do their very best to make sure guests have a good stay. However there is only someone on the property in the morning from 8am, staying into the afternoon. No one is there at all at night. Certainly a reasonable place to stay and the price seems good for this location. There are lots of restaurants within a few blocks lots of busses go by, and a taxi stand is a block north.
Seven Hills Camping Village

This is a great campground for an easy, inexpensive, and quiet trip. I was told it was a 26 minute walk from La Guistiniani station, so it seemed perfect for my visit to Rome. Well, the walk was more like an hour and a half because of the hills in between. They do have a shuttle that runs from the station, but their time schedule isn’t published and you don’t know it until you get there. I got a mini chalet. It was perfect for my needs, even though I had a hard time figuring out the heater. Just be prepared to get there early enough to take a cab or have a car to drive there.
Clementi 18 Suites Rome

Near the Vatican City
I booked 'Clementi 18 Suites' following the good reviews on tripadvisor. We opted for the Suite 18 which was reasonable value and relatively spacious. The suites are located in an historic building of other apartments/businesses and the main building itself has lots of character. Getting from the street to the room is something of a challenge with a code to enter the building, a slight challenge finding the historic lift, then an entry code to the unmanned Reception area, a code to open the box with the room key and then finally entering the room. Once you have navigated it once it is straightforward but goodness knows what would happen if one of the stages of entry failed! The suite itself was more style over substance with a bath in the bedroom that for us served no function, but the bathroom was spacious if a little impractical. A good shower but slippery with nowhere to hang towels or clothes. The room itself was comfortable with an efficient fridge and comfortable bed. I fail to see the point in a safe which is not fastened down so if someone wanted to break in (not that it would be an easy task) they could just lift it up and walk off with it. I didn't find the Receptionist as helpful as others have stated and the 10.30am check out, whereas it worked for us, wasn't the most customer friendly! My daughter was staying around the corner with friends in a sumptuous apartment which made our suite pale into insignificance but we quite enjoyed staying in a part of Rome we hadn't experienced before. The crux is, would we return to Clementi 18 suites and despite its reasonable value sadly, we wouldn't.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights, we were a little apprehensive due to some of the negative reviews across different sites, but our stay was perfectly fine We were able to check in around 1pm, the guy on reception was helpful and friendly. We had a room on the 2nd floor, it was small as we had expected. Tea/Coffee making facilities, fridge and TV in the room. The bathroom was very small but usable, toiletries and hairdryer provided. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable memory foam There is no breakfast or breakfast baskets provided at all since 1st Jan 24. The reception desk is only manned in the afternoon. The hotel was about 10 mins walk from Termini, 15 mins to the Colosseum, 30 mins to Panethon There are many cafes around for breakfast and restaurants too. Check out Druid's Den Irish pub around the corner for a nightcap or two!
Cunabu Apartments Giolitti

Rome City Centre
We were very happy with the room and it felt safe and secure, and it was really close to Rome Termini. Also within easy reach of the main tourist sites. The apartment was really well fitted out and clearly it has been recently refurbished. Shower and shower room were good. There were a few things that would have made our stay better - all little details. There was no tea towel; no mugs for a cup of tea despite there being a kettle; the kitchen drawer wouldn’t open as it had been fitted too close to the front door - you had to open the front door to get it open. The small table lamp didn’t work so we only had one main light; there was no number on the front door but we worked it out. Addressing these would turn a good experience in to a great experience.

Colosseo
The location of this hotel is perfect. You can see the colosseum once you stepped out of the hotel. We took a train from the airport and then catch an Uber to the hotel. It was very convenient. There are lots of restaurants nearby the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It is easy to travel around Rome via the bus or metro. If we were to come back to Rome again, we will definitely choose this hotel. It was a very pleasant experience
