"We chose this hotel for our first trip to Ise as a celebration for my husband's retirement. During dinner, my husband choked on some meat (his throat was already narrow), and the staff were very concerned and kindly made the remaining rice into rice balls for him. We were able to relax and enjoy a delicious meal in our room. We would love to visit again. We were also very satisfied with the open-air bath in our room."

"The perfect location: 5-7 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes from the shrine. The room was incredible: a 100-year-old inn with traditional aesthetics and attentive staff. The walls aren't thick, and the soundproofing and insulation aren't optimal, but it's a small price to pay for sleeping in such a beautiful hotel. The onsen was flawless: a true pleasure. I highly recommend it; the best place to experience traditional Japan."

"We arrived early on the day of check-in and waited briefly in the lobby before being escorted to our room around 3:00. We were given a large twin room with tatami mats. While the furniture was a bit worn, it was very clean. The air conditioner was a Daikin brand and looked brand new. The staff, though not very numerous, were very helpful. Breakfast was a Japanese set menu delivered to the room. Kashikojima Station is less than a ten-minute walk away, and the hotel offers a morning shuttle service. Kashikojima gradually becomes quiet around 5:00 or 6:00, and restaurants and convenience stores at the station close by 6:00. We didn't book dinner at the hotel, so we took the train two stops later to eat."

"If you’re looking for an authentic ryokan experience with modern comfort, Shiojitei is an exceptional choice. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed. The staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to help, creating a level of service that truly stands out. The rooms were beautifully maintained, combining traditional Japanese elements with contemporary comfort. One of the highlights was definitely the Pearl Aurora Onsen, which was incredibly relaxing and left my skin feeling amazingly smooth. The complimentary welcome tea and cheesecake, along with the evening marshmallow roasting by the lobby, were thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special. Both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations. Every course was beautifully presented, featuring fresh local ingredients and refined flavours that made each meal feel like a special occasion. Dining in a peaceful, private setting made the experience even more memorable. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle service from Toba Station, making it easy to reach despite its tranquil location. Overall, Shiojitei perfectly balances traditional Japanese hospitality, excellent cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere. It was one of the most memorable stays of my trip, and I would gladly return on my next visit to the Ise-Shima region."

"Upon arrival, they played a welcome drum. The room was nicely cleaned and we had a pleasant stay. There was a wide variety of dishes at dinner, more than we could eat, but since it was in our room, we were able to enjoy it at our leisure. The bath was lovely with a tatami floor. I was told that toothbrushes were charged, but this was not listed in the hotel details, so it would be nice if this was stated. It would also be helpful if amenities were placed so that only those who wanted them could choose them. There were two sets of towels and bath towels in the room, which were great to be able to use for bathing twice a day, at night and in the morning. The staff also gave us detailed explanations."

"There were not many rooms, so there was no congestion and the hot springs were put slowly. I don't know what I'm talking about, but I can hear the voice of the next room, the sound of the dryer, etc."

"This hotel offers an excellent overall experience. The hot spring facilities were a pleasant surprise; the water quality and environment were both comfortable and incredibly relaxing. The staff were friendly, courteous, and very responsive and attentive, making us feel well taken care of. It's definitely worth another visit."

"I was a bit nervous, as it was a last-minute booking and my first time glamping. However, the staff at the site were incredibly kind and made our stay very enjoyable. We had a room by the sea, and there were no issues with insects, making it a comfortable and luxurious experience. The kids absolutely loved it, and we definitely want to come back again. Next time, we'd love to stay for a few more nights and have even more fun! Thank you!"
