What truly sets 'Kongdi' apart is its incredible vibe. I've stayed in famous youth hostels in Yunnan and Yili, and Kongdi's atmosphere is undoubtedly top-notch. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a wide variety of room types to choose from. It's fantastic to see young people singing and watching movies in the hostel bar, teaching foreigners how to play Mahjong, and going to the desert at night to light bonfires – everyone is full of energy every day. The staff are also incredibly friendly and always happy to take guests out to eat, drink, and have fun. There's a handsome bartender who can mix all sorts of cocktails, and they're great value for money too – I stayed for two days and drank cocktails both days, haha! Definitely don't miss out if you're in Dunhuang!
A room of about ten square meters. Closing the door isolates you from the city's hustle and bustle. A clean and tidy bed. Bright and spotless windows. Warm, thick slippers and paper cups. Not from a street vendor or some cheap online store. A convenient, pristine white power strip charger gives you a sense of security. Outside the window, the Yellow River flows calmly and clearly, a sight only seen this season. Looking up, you see the landmark White Pagoda Mountain, its desolate, bare branches stretching towards the sky, a harbinger of approaching spring.

The hostel is good cared and clean. I think I saw a housekeeper every time when I went out from my room and she was always cleaning smth. That attitude already says a lot about the place. There is a nice not big common area with TV and we even watched a bit of Titanic, water dispenser with available cold and hot water. The staff is speaking English and they organise different tours around the area. It’s very handy. We took 2 tours with them and enjoyed a lot. One to PingShanHu canyon and another to Colourful Danxia. We also met many good-hearted foreign and local travellers there and made friends with some. Speaking about the room the condition was good enough. We shared one room with my friend. It’s a great value for money. Thank you for the incredible stay!

Up North is perfectly located at the night market and a 5-10 minute walk from the buses to Mogao, Railway, Airport, and Mingsha. There are a ton of food vendors and merchants to purchase from.
The hostel is on the second floor and operated by a cool couple inspired by the Beats and their border collie. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the spaces are clean, and the communal spaces are very cozy. The price is relatively high but is totally worth the convenience and service.
The location is perfect, right at the entrance to the scenic area. The rooms are quite spacious and clean.
They speak English and can provide recommendations.
I think it’s a really friendly hostel, and it’s easy to make friends here. Jiejie even took us for a drive near the desert so we could get a closer view of the snow-capped mountains. It truly was a great stay!

Very close to the train station, and the city center is easily accessible by bus. There are plenty of restaurants near the hostel. The entrance is a bit tricky to find, as it leads past numerous construction sites and run-down apartments. The hostel itself looks okay. You get a bed, but nothing else is included (no towels, no toothbrush, etc.). The bathrooms and the stairs leading up to them could definitely use some renovation. A 100 ¥ deposit is required at check-in, but it's refundable. I only stayed one night, and it was perfectly adequate for that.

The environment is very new! I'm quite particular about bathroom cleanliness, and this place really delivered. The cleaning staff were very diligent, keeping the toilet and shower sparkling clean and well-maintained overall. There's a public microwave, water dispenser, and refrigerator, which is convenient for buying drinks. They also have an automatic washing machine that you can use with coins, and you can exchange coins at the front desk. The guests generally seem to be well-behaved; everyone in the lobby was quiet and didn't play loud music. Access to the guest room area requires a key card, and guests in the rooms were also considerate, which I appreciate. The bedding was already made up, so I didn't have to do it myself, and it was quite comfortable to sleep in. Overall, I had a great impression; the staff were patient. It's a clean and comfortable option that I'd recommend to everyone.

I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.
The location is very convenient. A few hundred meters from Zhongshan Bridge Baita Mountain. The boss is very good. I came back late at night. I didn’t have an access card. I couldn’t get in. I called the boss and immediately contacted the staff. But on the first day of the stay, there was water in the bathroom. I stepped on the slippery back and squinted on the steps. I bought Yunnan Baiyao and sprayed it. I dealt with it briefly. I told the staff that the bathroom is easy to slip. I can get a non-slip mat. The staff promised that I didn’t do it at all. I’m not sure how long I’m still staying in Lanzhou. The room is awake every morning. I think about whether I want to wait for the staff to renew the subscription. The next day, it will start to cloud. Yang Weiqi asked you if you still live today. The most uncomprehensible thing is that the room guest called at 5:30 in the morning and told the guest that there were still people resting and still continuing to play. The room was very small. The guest ate snail powder in the room and didn't throw it away. After a day, there were small bugs...

This is my third stay here. It's very convenient, very close to the train station, and the environment is great. The owner is very welcoming, and the house is cleaned daily. It's so much better than the hotels I stayed in for over 100 yuan that were in terrible condition.

GGuest User🏬The room was very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The shared bathroom was also spotless, and each toilet door had weatherstripping to prevent loud noise when closing—great attention to detail! The owner was also very welcoming, and the hostel's color scheme was very sophisticated.
It's very close to the Yellow River, with a bus stop right outside, making it convenient to get to any tourist attractions. It's also close to Lanzhou Old Street and the West Railway Station.

GGuest UserIt's a youth hostel in the community, the price/performance ratio is quite high. The boss remotely controlled me to find the location hahaha, it's very considerate. It's just a distribution of several space capsules in one room, and there are different choices, but it will still disturb others. If you want to pursue quietness, it's difficult. Other places are good. There are no pictures, I have deleted them, I'll just post three pictures haha

GGuest UserThe room was cozy, the service was attentive, and the facilities were complete. Not only were toiletries provided, but the hygiene was also excellent. The surrounding area is very close to Langmusi Temple, and there are many restaurants nearby. Sichuan cuisine is just across the bridge outside the door. The owner was very welcoming.
GGuest UserThe environment is OK, the location is moderate, free parking is provided, and the parking place is about 300 meters away from the place of accommodation. The only downside is that the room is not soundproof, the people in the corridor can hear the sound when walking, a bit noisy, clean and good service.
