👍 Front Desk
The front desk staff are very responsible.
They provide information about nearby attractions.
It's very close to Cuihu Lake, and Daguan River is right outside.
They remind guests not to disturb others at night.
After each check-in, they also send a private message and post in a group chat, reminding guests not to eat in the rooms or leave belongings scattered around.
As a result, the rooms are very clean and odor-free.
Common spaces are tidied daily, keeping them very neat.
👍 Guests
The guests staying here are also very well-behaved.
It's incredibly quiet after 11 PM.
🤔 However
1. There are four floors, and no elevator.
2. The hot water supply can be a bit inconsistent.
Overall, my experience was 5⭐️
Because the rooms are clean.
There's heating; I even slept in a tank top at 7°C (45°F) in the room and wasn't cold.

Hey, the room was amazing! Clean, bright, and even had a small balcony~ The smart toilet was a thoughtful touch! The housekeeper was super responsive, and breakfast was plentiful. The view outside the window was beautiful, I slept so well, and I'll definitely come again next time~ Umm, five-star review!

Super nice staff and fellow travellers. So many nature activities in the area. I could have stayed for weeks. Great common areas and you can wash your clothes too.
Only issue is the male toilet’s urinal always smells because they never clean it, which you can see: there are yellow tissues at the bottom covering the pipe near the floor which didn’t get removed in my time at the hostel. Wasn’t enough to stop me staying for multiple days though!

I genuinely recommend this B&B! It was super easy to find, close to both the subway station and shopping areas, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The room facilities were all very new, with plenty of hot water and strong air conditioning, and the cleanliness details were also well-maintained. Both check-in and check-out were smooth, and the owner wasn't intrusive at all. The experience was excellent, and I've already shared it with friends planning to visit.
First, some praise:
① Compared to the quadruple rooms in other hostels I've stayed in, this one is more spacious and the hygiene is good.
② The location, tucked away in an alley off the main road, makes it quiet enough if there's no one being noisy.
In my opinion, the shortcomings are:
① The room truly has nothing in it – no disposable toiletries whatsoever. While it does make it look tidy, it's quite bare.
② The hot water flow in the private bathroom is a bit weak, lacking any real pressure.
③ The room door isn't soundproof, and the floor creaks loudly when walked on.
Facilities: The sheets and duvet covers were given to me upon check-in, and they did look a bit old.

My friends and I stayed in Kunming for a week. Before planning our trip, I chose this hostel on Xiaohongshu. It's very close to Kunming Station, about a ten-minute walk, and easy to find with the directions provided by the owner.
The owner is lovely, very gentle and soft-spoken. She was also quick to respond whenever I needed help finding something. My roommates were all pretty quiet; almost no one made any noise.
The hostel's balcony is beautiful and cool, perfect for enjoying breakfast.
Before coming to Kunming, the weather forecast said it would rain every day, but in reality, we had sunshine almost every day, with rain only in the evenings or early mornings. I highly recommend visiting!
Cai Caijie is very enthusiastic and attentive. Although there are not many exchanges, I can feel her meticulousness. I am very satisfied with the recommendation from eating and playing to the recommendation of the experience. Thank you very much. This is all five stars. The communication atmosphere in the hall is very good, and it can be seen that many people have been here for several days. There is a large yard where you can take a look at the scenery. The bedding is clean and comfortable, the mattress is almost the thickness of the hotel, the bed is also very strong, the bed lighting is separated by wooden boards, there is no direct look at the lamp (I have lived a lot of youth travel all the way, and the details of the lamp are the first). The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, sleep well, there is 🐔 in the morning, from 5 o'clock intermittently to 6 o'clock. It is recommended to give more tips on the room check-in rules. There is a guest mobile phone in the room to brush ** outside, no matter whether it is day or night, the room still needs to maintain a quiet environment.
By the way, my room is opposite the clothes drying area, and the lights in the room are not too bright, as shown in the picture.
In short, I recommend everyone to live ~~~

It's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't.
The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price.
The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city.
I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.

I only stayed one night and then left. During the off-season, for just an extra 20-30 RMB, I could have stayed in a guesthouse with air conditioning and a private room. I've stayed in Hangzhou and Chengdu in 2023 and 2024, and had a great impression. However, this Lijiang branch, perhaps due to too many guests or cleaning staff being overwhelmed, had rather poor hygiene.
1. There were dried-up contact lenses left by the previous guest on the bedside table.
2. Before going to bed, there was a large bug on the bedsheet… it really scared me.
3. The bathroom was a bit dirty, especially the door which looked encrusted, like a public toilet… the water stains in the sink from brushing teeth and washing up hadn't been cleaned in time and looked very dirty.
4. Some of the bedside power outlets weren't working (both the two and three-prong outlets had no power, fortunately, the front desk later moved me to another room). They should really check these.
The young staff provided very good service, but the cleaning aunties definitely need to be given stricter instructions.

Very Good
GGuest UserI stayed for two nights here in a four bed women dormitory. It is simple and you have all the services that you need : a kitchen, a washing machine, little food shops at the building's entrance and it's not far from the railway station.
Also, hosts are wonderful !! They prepared a meal in the evening. We visited town together : they brought me to Kunming lake, street snacks, food market in the morning and a nice park. All that for free !! I highly recommend this homestay. Simple, not expensive and warm up. 😊🙌

KK VThis hostel is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk from Dali Ancient City, but still offers convenient access to amenities. The surrounding area has plenty of local restaurants, bike rental shops and a nearby market. With a police station next door, safety is not a concern.
I stayed in a dormitory room with an ensuite bathroom. The hostel staff and cleaners generally maintain the space well. However, cleanliness can quickly compromised due to inconsiderate guests. That said, I observed that the team consistently cleaned the facilities at regular intervals, so the issue wasn’t due to a lack of effort from the management.
One highlight is the rooftop washing machine with complimentary detergent, which is such an excellent convenience for travelers.
The front desk staff were helpful and approachable. They offered practical travel advice, such as recommendations for electric bike rentals and guidance on typical market prices. I found this especially useful for planning my days around Dali.
The beds are comfortable and each comes with an individual locker and curtain, which gives me the personal space and security.
The hostel also encourages a warm communal atmosphere. I appreciated the small gatherings in the lobby, such as casual singing sessions. There is also a WeChat group for guests to join occasional outings.
Overall, I had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. It’s a solid choice for travelers looking for a clean, friendly and sociable hostel experience in Dali.

GGuest UserThe location of the passenger station is very easy to find, it is very convenient to get on and off the bus, and it is very quiet to sleep at night. The most important thing is that the boss is very good and will take you to see the sunset and the stars. All the ladies who stay in are ladies. You can also chat at night and find a travel partner to go shopping and take pictures together. The traffic in the scenic spot is not good, and the boss is also very responsible and will help you contact how to go to the attractions and how to come back. Although it is a public bathroom, it is also very convenient on the same floor. The view outside the store is also good. Recommended stay.
KKAYOKOvery friendly and kind staffs with cutie dogs!
the location is near to Kunming railway station and convenient place.
the twin room is clean and comfortable bed.
the shower room is typical Chinese style that might be a little bit difficult to take a shower.
the best recommend point is the staff’s hospitality and friendly atmosphere with cutie dogs paradise.
we relaxed and could refresh as they always welcomed.
i would have joined their team time chatting if i had a enough time.
thank you for all and best my regard!
SSoloTravelAnnaI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hostel in the female dorm. While the dorm room didn’t have AC, it was comfortable and well-maintained. The shared bathroom was clean, featuring a typical wet room setup. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful, always ready to assist, and their excellent English made communication a breeze. It's great to know that the family lives on-site, adding a warm, homey feel to the place.
One convenient feature is the washing machine available for a small fee, although I opted not to use it during my stay. Breakfast is offered, but remember to place your order the night before to ensure you get what you want!
The location is quite handy, being close to the city center. Just a heads up, crossing the busy road can be a bit tricky, so take care. There are plenty of western food options nearby, which is a nice bonus if you're craving something familiar.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay.
GGuest UserA nice and well located place. The host provided me with many recommendations for places to see and where to eat.
To enter the building I did have to call the host, so if you don't have a Chinese number you might need to ask someone to call him for you.
