"Although it was a 15-bed dorm, I stayed in a loft area with only three beds, which made it very comfortable. However, I found some hair and food crumbs on the mattress, and there were earplugs under it, which made me question the cleanliness. Also, at check-in, the staff was having a long conversation with the previous guest while handling the process, so I had to wait for over 15 minutes 😢.
On the positive side, bath towels and a hairdryer were provided, and I was happy to receive a welcome drink and a stroopwafel. The lockers could also be opened with the room key, which was very convenient."

"When I checked in, the owner kindly explained how to use the hostel.
There is a free hair dryer in the bath, and there are about five of them, which is convenient.
There is a locker room that you can use for free. The owner also kindly explains how to set the PIN code.
The rooms have curtains to ensure privacy. You can hear noise, but if you use earplugs or earphones, it's not a problem.
It is a little far from Amsterdam Central Station, but
I think it's a good idea to plan to arrive early and check what time the train is. I left late and had trouble with the few trains. If you use the bus, I don't think you need to worry about this.

"This place is right across the river, a quick free ferry ride away. Check-in and check-out are entirely self-service via touch panel. My room was in the basement, so it was quite dim. Each bed had its own fan, mini-light, and charging port. Unfortunately, my roommates reeked of ****, which was unpleasant, but I guess that's just how it is in the Netherlands."

"The location is very good, very close to the museum and the canal, there is a meal downstairs just to pay, but the taste is very wanting to stop when passing by, but unfortunately we have arranged the itinerary, next time we have the opportunity to choose to stay here. p.s. does not provide toiletries, bath towels and hair dryers, etc., to prepare by yourself, such as forgetting to bring a hair dryer or can be borrowed at the counter, but the number is limited (depending on luck (?)"

"The room was very clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The toilet and shower room were separate, which was very reasonable for six people as it allowed us to stagger our usage times.

The most unique feature of this youth hostel is the tiered lecture hall from a university located behind the central lobby. You can sit alone at a 'classroom' desk to read, work on your computer, or use your phone, or gather with a few friends. It's truly distinctive! As an old aunt who graduated from university nearly 40 years ago, being here felt like traveling back in time to my youth. ❤️"

Cons: location!
Location is very convenient, lots of restaurants and bars around the hostel. However, this means that a lot of the downside of staying somewhere “where the party is” was also there. Some guests will come back home drunk and make a lot of noise, also if staying on Friday nights music from the nearby clubs can be disruptive if you’re a light sleeper.
Nonetheless, room was okay, and having a bathroom inside the room was really nice."

"I stayed in this hotel in the heart of Amsterdam and the experience was very positive. The location is really unbeatable: a few steps from the main channels, museums and the most lively areas of the city. Perfect to walk or with public means.
The room was clean, modern and soundproof, although not particularly spacious. Breakfast is also good, with a variety of choice and fresh products.
A small note: the price is a little higher than the services offered, but given the central position it is understandable.
In general, a great choice for who wants to live Amsterdam in comfort. Advised!"

The location is about a 10–15 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The check-in desk is located deep inside a bar, which makes it a bit difficult to find. There is no elevator, so guests with heavy luggage should be careful, as carrying bags up the stairs can be inconvenient and unsafe

I haven’t stayed in a hostel in Europe for a long time but I thought The Bee Hostel was great. Check in process was easy and staff are friendly. You get a free beverage voucher upon check in. The hostel didn’t feel crowded despite the dorms having 8 beds. The dorms have air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise. When there aren’t people shuffling around the dorms are dead quiet. Only things that could be better is the ventilation and water pressure in the showers.

Lizzi BrownThe hostel is in a good location out of the centre, it's an easy tram ride in to Centraal with very frequent trams.
You get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful but very good value for budget accomodation just a short trip from Amsterdam city centre.
The beds were very comfortable, the room was larger than expected and very airy as we were in an attic room and all the windows opened.
The stairs were a bit treacherous, very steep and winding but a nice feature of an old traditional building.
The showers and facilities were fine, kept clean by other travellers and staff and the kitchen was fine too.
I would definitely stay here again for cheap, reasonable accommodation.

DWeeSuper fun and friendly hostel! The vibe here is amazing because they organise daily activities, which makes it really easy to meet people and have a good time. Everything is super clean and well-kept, so it feels really comfortable to stay here.
It is near some student accommodation, so there is a supermarket and plenty of food options around, which is really convenient. Laundry was easy too since there are 4 washers and 4 dryers, and they were always available during my stay. If I remember right, it was about €5 for a wash and €3.50 for drying.
The only downside is the location. It is around a 10 to 15 minute walk to the nearest station, then about 30 minutes on a direct train to the city centre. If you do not mind the commute, this place is totally worth it!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location was perfect—convenient and close to everything I needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of options. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Guest UserStaff are great, very laid back and welcoming. It's staffed 24/7 which is rare. Comfortable beds which are already made for your arrival, which is also rare. It has a decent vending machine with beer in it! To top it all off there is probably the best lidl in Europe I have been to right across the road!
