"This hostel is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so warm and attentive. Because the weather was quite cold, they provided hot water every day, which was a nice touch. The tram stop is less than a two-minute walk away, and the history museum is literally 30 seconds on foot. It's super convenient for getting to all the attractions. Plus, they have free dessert-making activities every afternoon. Honestly, the staff are amazing – this is the best hostel experience I've ever had."

"When I checked in, the owner kindly explained how to use the hostel.
There is a free hair dryer in the bath, and there are about five of them, which is convenient.
There is a locker room that you can use for free. The owner also kindly explains how to set the PIN code.
The rooms have curtains to ensure privacy. You can hear noise, but if you use earplugs or earphones, it's not a problem.
It is a little far from Amsterdam Central Station, but
I think it's a good idea to plan to arrive early and check what time the train is. I left late and had trouble with the few trains. If you use the bus, I don't think you need to worry about this.
Overall, it was a great stay."

"The location is very good, very close to the museum and the canal, there is a meal downstairs just to pay, but the taste is very wanting to stop when passing by, but unfortunately we have arranged the itinerary, next time we have the opportunity to choose to stay here. p.s. does not provide toiletries, bath towels and hair dryers, etc., to prepare by yourself, such as forgetting to bring a hair dryer or can be borrowed at the counter, but the number is limited (depending on luck (?)"

"I had a lovely stay at Generator. If your goal is to meet people, this is a great choice. It's a very social hostel, and during the weekend I stayed, there was a party going on from the basement all the way up to the first floor. It created a fun atmosphere, and the staff were all lovely and welcoming.
However, if your priority is getting a good night's sleep, this might not be the best option. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm with two triple bunk beds, and the room felt quite cramped, so you could hear almost every movement. The large storage drawers under the beds were large, but they were also quite noisy whenever someone opened or closed them. And I told you about those parties right? You could still hear the music from the room late into morning."

Cons: location!
Location is very convenient, lots of restaurants and bars around the hostel. However, this means that a lot of the downside of staying somewhere “where the party is” was also there. Some guests will come back home drunk and make a lot of noise, also if staying on Friday nights music from the nearby clubs can be disruptive if you’re a light sleeper.
Nonetheless, room was okay, and having a bathroom inside the room was really nice."

"I stayed in this hotel in the heart of Amsterdam and the experience was very positive. The location is really unbeatable: a few steps from the main channels, museums and the most lively areas of the city. Perfect to walk or with public means.
The room was clean, modern and soundproof, although not particularly spacious. Breakfast is also good, with a variety of choice and fresh products.
A small note: the price is a little higher than the services offered, but given the central position it is understandable.
In general, a great choice for who wants to live Amsterdam in comfort. Advised!"

The location is about a 10–15 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The check-in desk is located deep inside a bar, which makes it a bit difficult to find. There is no elevator, so guests with heavy luggage should be careful, as carrying bags up the stairs can be inconvenient and unsafe

I haven’t stayed in a hostel in Europe for a long time but I thought The Bee Hostel was great. Check in process was easy and staff are friendly. You get a free beverage voucher upon check in. The hostel didn’t feel crowded despite the dorms having 8 beds. The dorms have air conditioning which was a pleasant surprise. When there aren’t people shuffling around the dorms are dead quiet. Only things that could be better is the ventilation and water pressure in the showers.

I had a lovely stay at Generator. If your goal is to meet people, this is a great choice. Lizzi BrownThe hostel is in a good location out of the centre, it's an easy tram ride in to Centraal with very frequent trams.
You get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful but very good value for budget accomodation just a short trip from Amsterdam city centre.
The beds were very comfortable, the room was larger than expected and very airy as we were in an attic room and all the windows opened.
The stairs were a bit treacherous, very steep and winding but a nice feature of an old traditional building.
The showers and facilities were fine, kept clean by other travellers and staff and the kitchen was fine too.
I would definitely stay here again for cheap, reasonable accommodation.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel and truly enjoyed every moment. The place was very clean, well-organized, and the rooms were comfortable with everything a traveler might need. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making it easy to meet other guests and feel at home. The staff were incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to help with recommendations or any requests. The location was also perfect, close to public transportation, attractions, and local restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

Of course, it's good value for the price, and they even provided two complimentary bottles of water. The shared bathrooms were quite clean, regularly maintained, and had no unpleasant smells. It's small but has everything you need. If you're planning on staying in a hostel, this is a good option. However, if you have a suitcase, I strongly advise against staying here; it's simply too cramped, and you won't even be able to open your luggage. It's definitely more suited for backpackers.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help. Guest UserStaff are great, very laid back and welcoming. It's staffed 24/7 which is rare. Comfortable beds which are already made for your arrival, which is also rare. It has a decent vending machine with beer in it! To top it all off there is probably the best lidl in Europe I have been to right across the road!
