Located near the fun Regent;s street with lots of restaurants and bars, near the convention center and cathedral, but a bit farther away from the Riverside market etc (10-15 min walk). Staff is friendly, kitchen is really big and has everything, with lost of fridges and storage space. I booked the room for myself, it was very comfortable. They provide big towels, which is nice. No hair drier though. Right next to bus stop to airport.

I think this hotel is fantastic! The location is superb; step out the back door and you're greeted with stunning scenery, and it's within walking distance of the Church of the Good Shepherd. They have shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, which are clean and hygienic, and the front desk offers Chinese language service.

An absolutely fabulous place. Really playing on yhe history of the building all while still giving privacy, security and fun. Location is super close to a variety of restaurants, cafes and take-away stores, and a general store for those forgotten small items. Parking is free but it's a first come, first serve scenario. I loved staying there and highly recommend to any traveler looking for a funky and reasonably priced accommodation.

Due to the season, all the hotels in the area were booked out, so I had to stay in a dormitory room in this hotel. The hotel itself is nice. The room was very small, but clean and ok for this type of room. There is a shared kitchen, rest area, as well as laundry which is great. The location is 15-20 mins walk from the town center, but it’s ok. However, the service is not good. It was the male manager who checked me in. When I asked the manager if there was a breakfast option, he laughed at my face and told me: “Girl, your room is like what, 30 bucks and you want breakfast?”. This was really rude and unacceptable. Moreover, I didn’t even mean for the breakfast to be included in the room price, but wondered if I could buy one since I don’t have much experience of living in hostels. Therefore, I deduct some point for such an arrogant behavior from the staff who represent the hotel.

I booked Haka House because it was a great rate but I also read great reviews. I wasn't disappointed. It took 5 minutes from the bus stop to walk to Haka House.. On arrival I met the duty manager, he was very friendly and checked me in quickly. My first impression on the way to the room was very clean and ithe place smelled good l. There was a shared bathroom 2 doors down from my room. In the room there was a place to store my bags the bed had a charging station and light. The bed was comfortable and I slept very very well

I stayed in a mixed dorm room for two nights. The location of Hakka House is good. The intercity bus drops you there and pick you up. Walking to Hermitage Hotel or Visitor Centre is around 15 mins or so. From Visitor Centre, you can walk to ****** Valley track or Kea Point track, each is 1 hour one way. I highly recommend ****** Valley track. People in Hakka House usually stay for one night. In any case, for both nights, my roommates switched off the lights of the room as early as 9:30 pm. The room is too stuffy and hot as it seems that only an inch of the window is opened, probably too cold if opening the window more. Shower room is relatively tidy (very much depends on the users) but it seems that there is only one hair dryer for the entire ground floor which is not convenient. Imagine a lady with long hair will need to use it for at least 15 mins or so and there are many ladies who need to use the hair dryer. The kitchen is impressive. Well maintained and clean, good ventilation too.

It was Easter 🐣 week so the shop was closed, so I called and they opened the door for me. The shop is a bar, so it may be crowded on normal days, but I think it's a good idea to check with the staff. Everyone is very friendly and kind, so you can enter the room with peace of mind. The private room is as shown in the photo, and it even has a refrigerator. It was kept clean and very comfortable. It was raining and the outside temperature dropped, but it didn't affect the room. The shared space is the kitchen, shower and toilet, but this shop has been there since the 1800s, so you can feel the history. However, the kitchen has been remade and is induction compatible. I have only ever used gas, but I was able to use it without any problems! I also decided on this hotel because I was planning to watch a rugby game. It is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are McDonalds and other places, and the street lights are basically on, so I think the security is not a problem. I highly recommend this hotel over other Doritomi, so please give it a try! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Convenient location - walking distance to town centre. Clean bathrooms. Room is a bit old and heater makes a squeaky sound all night. Be prepared for it to be cold as the linen and blanket provided is insufficient. Only one toilet for a block of many rooms which is slightly inconvenient. Free tea and coffee in kitchen and plenty of cutlery plates etc. as the place is not well insulated make sure you rug up at all times.

GGuest UserMy friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

YYangyang05The location is next to the road, so there will be noise at night when cars pass by quickly and the houses here are generally not soundproofed. But if the room is near the parking lot, maybe it can be improved. Everything else is perfect, because there is a living room and an open kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a single bed and one with a double bed), a separate bathroom with dry and wet areas, and a hair dryer, which is a great deal

TTingzaibitandexiaochuanI booked this room half a year in advance because it was for Chinese New Year, and there weren't many options left. I chose a room with a private bathroom. The shower pressure was very stable and strong. The beds were quite high, but honestly, the twin beds weren't very big. The room itself was also small; there wasn't enough space to open two large suitcases. However, I understand this is a hostel, so it's to be expected. The hotel has an elevator. The public restrooms were also very clean. The communal kitchen and lounge area were spacious, and all the pots, pans, and dishes were free to use – just wash them and put them back when you're done. As for the location, there's a supermarket right next door, which is super convenient if you want to cook right after shopping. It's also not far from the airport; we walked with our luggage for about 10 minutes. There's a shortcut you can take instead of following Google Maps. You can ask the staff, and they'll show you.

DDragan S**Comfortable Stay with Great Service** I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city. Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

ZZT1990The motel room is very clean, the car also has a place to park, not far from the city center, and overall is good. The only thing is that the sound insulation is not very good. We live in a small villa facing the street. The single-story glass on the second floor is a bit noisy when there is a big car. But still recommended, the Chinese at the front desk are more lax

TTracy L.I booked a house clearly stated to accommodate five adults, and this was reflected in my booking. However, the system only asked for the names of two guests, so I entered two names. Upon arrival at the reception, I was told I needed to pay an additional $35 per person for the remaining three guests per night, so I paid additional $35x3x2=$210.00. I didn’t have a choice as it’s already dark and chilly cold at Mount Cook on 13 June. It’s dangerous to drive down at 5pm, so we paid. This was unexpected and disappointing — if the house is meant for five adults, I don’t understand why there’s an extra charge for the full number of guests I originally booked for. It feels misleading and somewhat unethical. I hope the property can clarify this policy and improve the booking process to avoid confusion for future guests. However, I would like to express the appreciation of Trip.com hotel agent’s help.

GGuangchiguangchidehulaquanThe reason why I stayed in Fairlie was because the hotels around Mount Cook were too expensive. I couldn't book a room with more than 2,000 yuan. I simply stayed in Fairlie, which was an hour away by car. Economic leverage determines everything. This is a very typical motel, clean and tidy. It was very quiet at night, but most of the guests that day came by motorcycle. They were warming up their cars at around 6 o'clock, which was very noisy...
