This was my return visit to this hostel, and I must say I was dissppointed. Last time, on another platform, I gave it an 8/10 rating, but now I think I was too generous.
Besides smiling, but not good English-speaking staff (and smile doesnt always solve problems like an informed action), and affordable price, it was hard to find all those benefits I thought this hostel had.
Hot water dispenser wasnt working, but even cold drinking water wasnt accessible - i had to ask the staff 3 times for somebody to refill the machine. But the next morning empty again - there should be a system in place and not counting on guests for chasing down staff to fix it whenever the water tank is empty.
I say chasing as there is rarely someone at the reception. They might be cleaning the rooms (good luck in finding them), but frankly rooms werent that clean. Floors were praying for mopping, dust in the bathroom fan wanted to leave too... there was even a clearly visible stain on my bed sheet upon checking in, but the staff replaced the sheet immediately (they could have spotted it when they were making the bed the first time maybe?
Locker was not working, so the member of the staff had to use knife to make it work. The other storage place was also full of some crumble, i assume it is not on the cleaning list too often.
AC in the room didnt seem to work properly. There was always a feeling of the temperature being too cold, whether the tehermostat was fixed at 18 or 25 degrees Celsius, you were freezing even undet the blanket.
Privacy curtains are still transparent (?), and the doors of the room close loudly.
Shower was more of a drizzle - the water pressure did not meet basic requirements. In the first shower, it wasnt even warm. I entered the second one, where the heater was working better, but you could not shower with water practically just dripping on you.
All in all, there are other similarly priced hostels in Phuket that offer a better service.

My first time staying at a deck dorm style. The manager was willing to come, and did check in for me in the middle of the night. Do the 200 Baht refundable deposit. Give me the towel. Informed me to the rule of no sandal/shoes at 2nd floor to maintain the floor kept clean.
That is all you can see.
Nice room, chill, no noise in the room, and other ”I am sleeping” rules.
If you have an issue of not using sandals in the bathroom, then honestly you just need a hotel with a private room. Yeah, upper deck was scary. I dreamt of falling down 😪
Well, deck dorm style is not just for me. But a good experience here, and with 217 Baht (including tax) I paid, it is worth the money.
This hotel provides breakfast too. Something I don't really expect 😁😁
They also give me a key gift over a checkout. For sure, I get my 200 Baht back.

This hostel is located next to a local bus stop to various beaches. There is a convenience store in front. The room is not very spacious and is rather damp due to lack of light and ventilation. The bathroom is not very good. There is a kitchen, refillable drinking water, and no parking. I couldn't sleep because I could hear people walking in and out of the room all the time.

This hotel is a gem located in central Phuket. It's away from all beaches, but if you have a motorbike, you can obviously traverse the island - no problem. Not far from here is Monkey Hill - you can actually walk there. And the night market is within walking distance as well, along with many bars and restaurants. The hotel is a quiet one, with excellent service. Rooms are cozy, the decor is pleasant. One interesting thing - there is no TV. I don't know when was the last time I stayed at a place without one of those. It was actually kind of nice. It can be a little loud at night in this area, as a lot of people hang out at street restaurants, and play loud music. If you go to sleep early, it could be an issue. Would I recommend this hotel though? Hell yes. Thank you for the stay!

I love Maya, the receptionist. She was always eager to help out. Maya answered my questions with a smile and that really made me feel at home. There is a working area near the reception desk which became my base for a couple of days to write and read for school and work. The hostel is close to Karon Beach and the Karon Circle, where you can take the bus to the airport. It's about five to 10 minutes of walking. The hostel is within walking distance to the Temple Night Market, a 24-hour laundrymat, and at least two 7/11 stores. There are restaurants, fruit stands, massage centers, and even a clinic. The hostel has cats, by the way, so if you're allergic that might pose an issue for you. Otherwise, stay here. The hostel is well maintained and the owner does a good job in ensuring that guests get their money's worth.

I really appreciate the cleanliness, the comfort, the peaceful surroundings, and the most important we can cook out own food. So me. And my wife was so happy with our stay here in the Guest house 2. And this place is not hard to find because it's not far from the main road.
And next time if I will visit Phuket again I planned to stay here again. I can give 5 ⭐

This hotel is the ultimate value-for-money find in Patong! I stayed for four nights, and the room was much larger than expected. We could easily open two large suitcases with plenty of space to move around. The location is the real winner—right in the heart of Nanai Road. Step outside and you're surrounded by endless restaurants, massage parlors, and 7-Elevens. The Makro supermarket is just across the street, perfect for snacks and supplies. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Jungceylon Mall, with lots to see along the way. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, helped me rent a motorbike at a fair price, and booked my day tours. The room was cleaned daily. If you're on a budget but want a super convenient base, look no further.

Very spacious room and my favorite part is that they give complimentary water, coke and fanta and gets refilled every day. Love also that the TV is a smart tv so was able to watch Netflix. And the airport bus to Phuket Town passes by in front of the hotel.

We couldn’t recommend Lub Sbuy Hostel more! The price of great. We booked the private double bed room with balcony. The hostel felt more like a hotel with a nice common area for people to sit in on the ground floor. They also give free coffee between 6:30-11:30am.
This was on of the best sleeps I have had, great beds & quiet. The shower/bathroom is great with shampoo + soap provided. The hostel was super clean & the staff were lovely. The location is ideal - a 15 minute walk to old town, a quiet area, a 7/11 a minute walk away, great food places near.

Nice little place to stay same minutes walk to the aiport. My single room was pleasant. However, the many ants throughout the room bothered me. Don't get me wrong, I've always had ants in the rooms in every accommodation I've stayed in, regardless of budget. It seems to be normal, at least on Puket. But having them everywhere, and of course even on my own bed, was too much for me.
Great

22morrowsworldMy initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later).
But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform.
Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this.
A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq !
Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste.
Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong
There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine.
Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.
WWestopiaVery good location and nice hostel with a swimming pool. I stayed in a 4-bed female dormitory with ensuit bathroom, hot water and cool air condition. They also offer free breakfast with coffee and toast, there’s also a food mall and night market if you want to explore more options. The staff here are very welcoming, the cleaning lady also tidies your bed everyday. Brilliant service!

ZZin_KoI spent three nights here, and it was definitely the best decision to pick this hostel. It's nice and clean. The wifi is super fast, and you can even use it from your bed, not just in the lobby. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. A big thank you to ”Joy”, ”Kim”, and the ”Burmese girl - Htoo Htoo” for your amazing service; keep it up! If I get the chance, I'll definitely come back ✌️
GGuest UserLocated between two bars, the door has the Sundiva logo on it to help guide you. I think most people who come to Sundiva have trouble finding it because of its small entrance, but it gets wider once you go inside. Great place overall!
AAmigo787The hotel staff is not very friendly, the rooms are quite cozy, the bed is very hard and wrapped in cellophane, which is uncomfortable. You can book for two nights, but I would not recommend for more. Opposite the hotel, another hotel is being renovated, they start drilling from the very morning, making noise, it is impossible to sleep. The construction will wake you up at about 7 am.
Also, on the first floor of the hotel there are two workstations, convenient if you need to work on your laptop (photo of the work area is uploaded)
__Turtle_Lub D Phuket Patong Resort is an excellent choice for solo travelers, especially single ladies who appreciate space for their accessories. The standard single rooms assigned to us are perfectly sized, clean, and thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and privacy. Despite being a hostel, the room rates are affordable for having a private space all to ourselves, making it a great value option in a prime location just minutes from Patong Beach. In addition to that, they provide free WIFI and Netflix (provided you have an account to access). The friendly and helpful staff, along with the lively yet relaxed atmosphere, add to a memorable stay. Overall, Lub D resort combines convenience, comfort, and affordability in a vibrant setting suitable for solo adventurers. My travel size is 2 ladies with 2 single rooms by the way. Hotel provide game activities for hotel guests which is kinda engaging and fun. Good thoughts by the hotel. See picture below.
