The hotel is an assault on the senses (in a nice way) with multicoloured tiles everywhere. Function is sacrificed a little to style, with (in our bedroom) no shower apart from a hand held shower that you have to use in the bath. The room was a good size and looked over a quiet courtyard. As with many hotels, hangers for the wardrobe are thin on the ground. Breakfast is good - a decent range of sweet and savoury choices. Staff are helpful and pleasant. We had dinner one night. It's a very elegant space. Dinner was a bit rushed, I felt. Overall, it was good - lovely moutabel with superb, wafer-thin little shards of pastry/biscuit to have with. The chicken was nice and the chocolate pudding superb.

L'Arlatan is truly a gem in Arles. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful, spacious rooms and a uniquely artistic design that sets it apart from anywhere else. Every corner of the property feels special. However, what makes L'Arlatan exceptional IS THE STAFF. They are incredibly attentive, warm, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. Their helpfulness and attention to detail make the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a unique, welcoming, and visually striking place to stay in Arles, L'Arlatan is an excellent choice. We ate dinner at the restaurant one night. It was good, but note that the menu is quite small.

L’Arlatan is gorgeous with custom designed interior walls which are works of art in their own right. Our room was suite sized with a spacious bathroom and high wood beamed ceilings, a very comfortable king sized bed and a couch at the end of the bed. The custom designed hotel appointments lent an air of authentic sophistication, with a wide spiral staircase showcasing an ancient Roman column on the wall and beautiful contemporary chandeliers in the center of the spiral. Each interior door is custom painted in the most artistic manner. Our room overlooked one of the interior courtyards with beautiful mature plants. The staff was gracious and solicitous, checking in with us daily to assure a pleasant experience. Most of the staff spoke English so there was no language difficulty for Non French speakers. We had breakfast a couple of days and the buffet selection was extensive and very tasty.

This was a wonderful stay. A lovely boutique hotel with wonderful design and decor. Each room was a truly different design and the public areas were great. The staff was wonderful and attentive. We highly recommend. The only drawback was that we arrived by car and wanted to drop off luggage before we parked in their designated garage a mile away. Getting to the hotel with gates and unmarked streets was a ral challenge.....but once we arrived we were happy we met the challenge

We have been so impressed with this beautiful boutique hotel and restaurant! The hotel is exquisitely designed and decorated in vibrant colours and contemporary furniture. Our room was amazing and overlooked the pool. The staff are so nice and helpful (a big shout out to Naomi who was amazing - thank you!). We honestly cannot praise this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed. And Arles is one of the most gorgeous towns we have ever visited!

I haven’t written a review in a while, but have to clear out the rust for L’Arlatan. I had booked this trip a while ago and upon arriving I was promptly reminded why I chose this hotel as a base to visit Arles and Avignon. The hotel is absolutely stunning! The floors, the paintings, the lighting, the stairs and doors, everything was meticulously redone in a cohesive, colorful palette. But it’s not only beauty: service is impeccable. Daily cleaning plus turn down service, luggage help, the assortment of sweets and water waiting for you. Have at least one meal at the restaurant but it’s better to reserve for dinner. Exceptionally, clean, amazing rain shower, comfortable bed, very silent at night. Perfection!

Even for an experienced traveler sometimes you happen upon a gem and this hotel is one of them. As part of the welcome the staff provide a tour of the remarkable architecture of the hotel, which is equally reflected in all of the spacious and comfortable rooms. Attentive, friendly and accommodating staff add to the experience. If you are bored of cookie-cutter hotels, try the L’arletan.

What an amazing kaleidoscope of colour and design and beauty, coupled with outstanding service. We stayed in L'Arlatan in October 2023 during a holiday in Provence. We had no idea what a treat we were in for! Many hotels have impressive receptions and public areas. This hotel takes that attention to detail all the way into every room and every public space. Whether it is the design of the wardrobes in the bedrooms or the rubber surround to the pool or the metal fretwork on the stairs, all display amazing attention to detail and design. Each room is unique, and beautifully so. The restaurant is outstanding, a world away from the sometimes chaotic experience in the streets and squares so nearby! The location is excellent, a couple of minutes away from the wonderful Musee Reattu and the ancient Thermes de Constantin. A short walk to the Arenes amphitheatre and the Theatre Antique. I had never heard of Maya Hoffman or Jorge Pardo before, but both deserve huge congratulations on this wonderful work of art!

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and loved everything about this hotel. The architecture, the Mexican inspired interior design, wonderful breakfast, heated pool, very helpful front desk staff, quiet location- everything was outstanding! Thank you for our lovely stay.
