The hotel is located South of Ascona on the road the goes around the lake. This road can be quite difficult when there is traffic, which is frequently the case. Fortunately, the hotel is right off this road and offers parking. The rooms are acceptable, nothing fancy but clean and functional. There is a good view of the lake with a small terrace. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful.

Von Aussen sieht alles gut aus. Aber wenn man mal da übernachtet hat und auch noch gegessen hat (Abendessen) dann wird einem schnell mal klar, dass dieses Hotel nicht gerade ein Highlight ist! Das Essen war ungenießbar, die Spaghetti unterste Schublade (nicht frisch) mir war später wirklich übel davon. Die Zimmer sind alt und dunkel also auch gar nicht zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück hingegen war gut. Schade, aus diesem Hotel könnte man eine Goldgrube machen wenn es richtig geführt wäre und auch einen Koch hätte der sein Handwerk versteht.

En el hotel Arancio todo es perfecto: la situación, el personal, la terraza-comedor, la piscina, la limpieza, el desayuno... En fin, una estancia inmejorable.. Incluso tuvimos la sorpresa de que el propietario invita a un aperitivo a todos los clientes los lunes por la tarde, en un ambiente agradable y relajado.

Mittelklasse Hotel in Ascon mit hervorragendem Blick über den Lago Maggiore und ausgzeichneter Küche. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Für 2 Spiegeleier mit etwas Speck oder eine Omelette mit Schinken wird zusätzlich Fr. 12.00 verlangt! Zimmer klein aber sauber.

Wir waren spontan für eine Übernachtung zu Gast... Wir wurden von sehr freundlichem Personal empfangen. Das Zimmer war sehr gut mit einer sensationellen Aussicht. Das Abendessen war extrem köstlich und das anschliessende Gespräch mit dem Patron, der auch selber kocht, war sehr unterhaltsam. Wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal da...

Nicht nur ihr schönes Hotel hat uns 4 Grazien aus der Ostschweiz begeistert, sondern auch ihr Mitarbeiter Herr "Märteli" (lieber Herr Martin) . Wir hatten dank ihm, einen unvergesslich schönen Aufenthalt. Er hat mit Witz und Charme uns begeistert, nebst dem hervorragenden Essen das wir dank ihm am Abend auf der wunderschönen Terrasse, mit traumhafter Aussicht auf den Lago Maggiore, genossen haben. Wir kommen wieder!!!!! Es war rundum schön, danke dem ganzen Team.

10 Tage im Arancio und gute Erfahrungen. Wer Strassenlärm ignorieren kann tut gut daran, denn das ist der einzige Nachteil der Lage. Das Hotel ist gemütlich, das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer sind einfach, zweckmässig und sauber. Der Pool ist, wie er sein soll und das Beste daran ist, dass die Liegestühle nicht auf Beton sondern auf Rasen stehen.
