White City Hostel

The very location of the White City Hostel, Baku (Azerbaijan in an old mansion, is very convenient, the hostel is a 5-minute walk from the metro station and many transport routes, including from the airport to Heydar Aliyev Airport. Spacious guest rooms, not overloaded with sleeping places, high 4-meter ceilings and unusually wide balconies overlooking the city's perspective are the distinctive features of the White City Hostel. The head of the hostel, organizer and administrator is a positive and professional person Ilkin Zeynalov. He always has everything under control, there are never scandals or any overlaps, everything this person does - he does quickly and easily, despite the fact that the hostel guests come from different countries, he finds a common language with everyone and solves all emerging issues at any time of the day or night. It is impossible not to be imbued with his positive energy! Ilkin himself meets the hostel guests, shows the rooms for accommodation, large and comfortable beds, a shared kitchen, where there is everything necessary for cooking: a stove, saucepans, frying pans, mugs, spoons, forks, etc. There is also a microwave and 2 refrigerators. The hostel has a golden rule: do not make noise from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The night administrator, who receives and accommodates arriving guests of the hostel at night, strictly monitors this and the safety of the hostel. Another rule: drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited and guests strictly follow this rule. All bed linen in the hostel is constantly washed and ironed. Sleeping on such linen is a pleasure. There is a place for ironing clothes for residents of the hostel, cleaning is done daily and, which is important when a certain number of people gather, the premises are disinfected. Two markets, bars, small shops, a wonderful park nearby, the famous noisy and cheerful Nizami street nearby and, of course, the pride of Baku - the Caspian Sea embankment in 10 minutes walk - are the distinctive features of the location of the White City Hostel. Do I recommend you to stay there? - definitely YES! Due to work, I was in the hostel from August 25, 2024 for two months. Liliya Skorobogatko, Moscow, Russian Federation.

Yasamal
I arrived there with a large group of 32 people on the 6th of October, and none of our rooms were ready. They took almost 2 hours to give the rooms - to everyone except me. And mine was still pending after another 2 hours. I was waiting down at the reception for another 2 1/2 hours for a room- all the while being told ”Just another 5 minutes”. You can build a room in that much time! I waited a total of about 4 1/2 hours. The group leader was waiting with me and told them in disgust that they had not even apologized for the delay. And then I was finally given a tiny box-like room - nothing like the deluxe room we had booked. To make things even worse - the room telephone was not working. And despite going down and telling them twice - it didn't work throughout my stay until the 10th when we left for Tbilisi. I had to go down to the reception for every single thing. The room service was late, and very surly. Water was rudely thrust into our hands. I was honestly glad to be out of there! The saving grace was the restaurant - good food and good, pleasant service.

My stay at the Bristol Hotel from 1st Sept to 5th Sept 2023, room No 103, in Baku was an absolute nightmare that stretched over four agonizing nights. Despite its touted central location, this ancient relic of a place doesn't even come close to resembling the ”hotel” it's advertised as online. It's more like a dingy rental hostel with delusions of grandeur. Let's talk about breakfast – a lackluster, uninspired routine that required us to play a waiting game at their absurdly inconvenient hours. And don't even get me started on the absence of room service or the complete absence of drinking water. It's as if they're actively trying to make your stay as miserable as possible. The rooms are laughably non-soundproof, and the pitiful window curtains do nothing to shield you from the relentless onslaught of intrusive light, especially with a blaring nightclub next door. The fact that management couldn't care less about replacing those curtains is infuriating. But wait, there's more! The bathroom lock decided to throw a wrench into my already dreadful experience. I found myself trapped inside the bathroom, envisioning a nightmarish scenario where my partner wasn't in the room to rescue me. Can you imagine being stuck in there for hours, or even days? In all seriousness, I implore you, in the strongest terms possible, to steer clear of this establishment. It's an absolute travesty, and you deserve far better for your stay.

It is a hotel with a spectacular buffet breakfast, it was not very much taking a delicious breakfast in a hotel of this category. It is very close to the metro station and shopping centres. and the young people who serve restaurants are excellent, I will return next year because I love this city and its people

It's hard to say in a word, except that it's closer to the business office, there's really nothing else to say. The location is quite good, there is a mall nearby, close to the Caspian Sea beach, and there are two good Chinese restaurants not far away. But for some reason, the hotel's front desk is on the second floor. The entrance to the first floor is narrow and blocked by a broken board on one side. It feels very bad. I arrived early on the day of check-in, so I had to wait until noon to check in, but when I opened the door with a card and went in, there was a big brother sleeping soundly on the bed😪, so I had to go back and wait for another hour for cleaning and cleaning, which was embarrassing😳 The breakfast items at the end of the second floor are relatively small, so let's just have some. When I checked out, there was no one at the front desk in the morning, and no one came when I rang the bell. After waiting for a long time, I had to put down my card and leave. Summer is the peak tourist season. If other hotels were not fully booked and the price was not considered, there is a high probability that I would not stay in this hotel again.

Rested with her husband in Baku at the end of June and very glad that the Diplomat hotel was chosen for accommodation. Of course, the first advantage of the hotel is the location in the very heart of the hotel. Near the metro, bus stops, to the Old City, Boulevard and Trade can be reached on foot. In the hotel itself very polite staff, rooms are clean, comfortable - we had a combined with a separate bedroom and work area, in the bathroom there are all the facilities, on request can also provide all necessary. Breakfasts on the 9th floor with views of the city panoramic and sea. The hotel itself has a quiet atmosphere, very comfortable, a lot of shops and cafes next to the hotel.
