Sheraton Baku Intourist

There was a pungent smell of paint as soon as I entered the room. I could only sleep with the window open every day. The front desk guard did not help with the luggage. The early check-in charge in the morning was half a day's room rate, but according to the price they gave, it was almost the same as a full day's room rate. They also clearly told me that there would be no breakfast one day in advance.

The location of the hotel is OK. There are buses to the old town in both directions. The Baku Eye is opposite the hotel, and the scenery is really nice. But the mountain view room the hotel arranged for me is really not good. The mountain view from the lower floor is just a pile of dirt, and there is no scenery at all. And the funniest thing is that I called them to ask if there is a drop-off service. Not only is there no Chinese service, but the staff on the other side was very rude. Later, I contacted Ctrip customer service online, and Ctrip customer service replied that I needed to write an email to them one day in advance to make a reservation. I wrote an English email seriously, but no one has replied so far. Really, this kind of service should not be named Sheraton.

We had a perfect stay on the most beautiful beach of Baku. Breakfast was also excellent.

The receptionist at the front desk was very professional, his attitude and feedback were good, and any minor issues were resolved. There are a few points that need to be mentioned. The hotel location is not suitable for walking. It is a little far from the old city and walking is a bit tiring. It is suitable for self-driving or taking a taxi. To reach the opposite seaside, you need to go around a long way or cross a road without a zebra crossing. The hardware is not very good, Samsung level, there is no swimming pool, no bathtub, the room is very small, the TV cannot cast the screen, and the details are a bit shabby (the wall near the sink). The spa is very small and the massage is very, very poor, so be careful. The sea view room can see the Ferris wheel and Caspian, which is very relaxing when the weather is good. The breakfast is very good, be sure to bring breakfast. To sum up, it has no merit and good scenery. It is not much different from the Marriott Baku Courtyard in the same price range. The specifications are higher but the details are inferior. Next time I come, I might choose Holiday Inn in the same price range or the Ritz-Carlton, which is more expensive.
