Centrally located to Lake Gregory, Lake Arrowhead, Snow Valley (35 minutes) and Big Bear (1 hour).Our home is well equipped for a weekend trip or a longer stay. The lower level is an open concept living room, dining area and kitchen. Here you will also find the bathroom as well as a bedroom with a queen bed. Here you will also have access to two decks with seating areas and additional dining space perfect for enjoying the serene setting. The living room and lower bedroom are both equipped with smart TVs. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking necessities along with a Coffee and tea station, featuring a Nespresso machine. Upstairs you will find a bedroom with two full sized beds as well as a primary bedroom with a private deck and views of both Lake Gregory and Mt Baldy. There is wood burning stove in the living room is perfect for those winter nights!! The master bedroom has 46" Sony Bravia TV with Fire stick. And Serta adjustable (Head tilt) bed. The downstair room has computer desk/chair for those who needs to work or homework to get done and get connected with office/class etc. There is fast Wifi throughout the house. This modern “Yurt house” is 5 min from Lake Gregory & is surrounded by forest majestic views on 10 acres. It’s your private forest playground. Hike on the trail from the house 1/2 mile into the forest & then continue to a smaller trail that goes for miles. The views & sunsets are amazing not to mention the wildlife you may see. Relax with a glass of wine, soak in the hot tub while gazing at the stars & see the beauty of the night sky. Built in 2012, everything is new & has windows, windows, & more windows, with the forest just on the other side. The open-concept design & high ceilings give it a grand feel & the wood-burning stove gives it a rustic vibe. There are a few different outside spaces to relax & have coffee, or a glass of wine & be one with nature. Our home includes a Pizza Oven located on the deck (available for use except during winter months). You’ll find the instructions, recipes, & the temperature remote in the desk drawer. For your convenience, Trader Joe’s sells pizza dough, making it easy to enjoy a homemade pizza during your stay. Note: There are 2 single pull-out ottoman beds in the living room along with a futon (not shown). Guests have access to the entire property and can explore the National Forest area as well. The property is named Pinecone Lodge at Falcon Ridge because these are the largest pine cones in the world that can be found here! and standing on the edge of the ridge you will see the falcons soaring high above. Located just 5 minutes from Lake Gregory, this property is on the edge of the National Forest with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and forest, yet 5-10 minutes from downtown Crestline. About the Area: Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory, & Big Bear Lake are recreational lakes in the Southern California San Bernardino mountains. They offer fresh crisp air, cooler weather (10-15 degrees) in the summer, & snow in the winter. They also offer a more relaxed & low-key energy “vibe” making them ideal locations for getaways to renew the mind, spirit, & body & to reconnect with family & friends. Big Bear Lake is a public lake & friendly to all types of boats & water sports & is the largest lake of the three. There is a short paved bike & walking trail that goes along the lake. Big Bear is a City &is more populated with stores, restaurants, & nightlife than the other two locations. It has more of a “desert” feel in terms of its topography. Big Bear is 26 miles up the mountain from Lake Arrowhead, Although none of our properties are in Big Bear, we recommend it for a day trip. Lake Arrowhead is a private lake & is accessible to guests staying at properties with lake rights if the owners have permitted guests to use their ALA (Arrowhead Lake Association) passes. If this is the case, the Amenity “lake access” will be checked on the listing. In our list of properties, the Gingerbread Cottage is providing lake access. With lake access, specifically, the lake trail is accessible. There is a $10 per person per day fee that is required to be paid to receive a wristband for access. More information can be found on the ALA website. Swimming is allowed from the lake trail at any location except the beach clubs (these are restricted to owners). There is no ability to launch boats or SUPs on the lake. The Village is lakefront & is the main area for shops & restaurants & has a fitness center as well. The Queen boat is a tour boat on Lake Arrowhead that provides much of the history of the town - tickets can be purchased at the shop by the lake. There is a local company that offers water skiing lessons boat tours & rentals. This area has more of a small town & alpine feel to it. The Villas area (south side of the lake) in Lake Arrowhead is cooler & gets more snow that lasts longer than the north side of the lake which gets more sun in the winter & is hotter in the summer. The Villas area is an older area with older homes & narrower streets. The Tudor House is an event center offering Sunday brunch & a variety of events. Skypark is a local attraction as well as Snow Valley for skiing for both Lake Arrowhead & Lake Gregory. Lake Arrowhead is 15 minutes up the mountain from Lake Gregory. Lake Gregory is a public lake in the town of Crestline, a small town about 20 minutes from the base of the mountain of San Bernardino. It is the closest mountain town to events & locations “down the hill”. In the past few years, the lake operations have become privately managed with significant improvements being done at the lake including the development of a water park, beach improvements, & boat, kayak, & canoe rentals. There is a fee to access the beach area & the water park & on the Lake Gregory website. Crestline has a small-town alpine feel with the lake nestled amongst the tall trees. Crestline gets less snow than the other 2 lake locations. The quaint town has restaurants, coffee shops, & thrift stores. Twin Peaks/Blue Jay sits in between Crestline & Lake Arrowhead & is convenient to both lakes. It has its restaurants, shops, & thrift stores. It is famous for its outdoor farmer’s market on Thursday afternoons (seasonal). The age minimum is 25 (families with kids welcome). To make it more affordable for smaller groups, an extra guest fee of $15 per guest per night applies after 2 people. 4WD and chains are required in the event of snow in the winter For 28+ night stays, please inquire first (not instant book); the following deposits apply: Refundable damage deposit is $100 Refundable cleaning deposit is $350 Although we love puppies, we cannot accept dogs under 1 year old.
