"This hotel experience was fantastic! The environment is quiet and elegant, the rooms are spacious and bright, and all the facilities are comprehensive and very well-maintained. The biggest surprise was the service; the front desk staff were warm and professional, and the housekeeping aunties cleaned everything spotless. "This is the best hotel in Hekou, and the only five-star one, having just opened in 2025. The facilities are excellent, the environment is beautiful, parking is convenient, and the service is also great. They gave me a free room upgrade to the 24th floor, which offered an amazing view. I could clearly see the Yuan River and Lao Cai, Vietnam across the way. The air conditioning and shower also worked perfectly, highly recommend!"

"The hotel is in walkable distance (about 10-15 minutes) from the Hekou / Lao Cai foot passenger border crossing. All parts of the hotels are very clean, including corridor, room and bathroom / toilet. The beds are very good, there is enough place in the room. The commercial center of Hekou is only a few minutes walk away, there can you find food stalls, restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel itself does not provide any kind of food. A taxi to the railway station Hekou North is about 25 -30 CNY and takes about 15 minutes. The hotel can order a taxi. I can recommend this hotel."

"They upgraded my room for free, and it was much larger. One of the rooms even had a direct view of the China Customs building and the Clock Tower from the window. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and professional, and they even allowed us to check in early and check out late. The hotel is a bit old, so some of the facilities are dated, but it's very clean, and the beds are spotless. There's a slight odor in the bathroom if you don't turn on the exhaust fan. The location is excellent, very close to the Customs building, and there's free parking available until 3 PM the next day. The travel agency downstairs was also great; we got our embassy visa the very next morning. It's very close to nearby attractions, and you can enjoy the scenery across the river with just a short walk. Friendly tip: When we first arrived, the Wi-Fi was constantly cutting out. A staff member came over, turned on the TV to test it, and after that, it worked perfectly without any lag. I'm not sure why, but it happened in both rooms."

"The hotel is in a very good location, right on Binjiang Road, very close to the port, and there are many restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The hotel facilities are complete and the waiters are very nice. The parking lot is a bit tight during holidays. The breakfast is rich and Vietnamese-style, and it is very good overall."

The decoration style of the room is full of high-end feeling. The equipment in the room can be controlled by voice. It is a good news for lazy people. When I wake up, I ask Xiaodu to help me open the curtains. The weather in Yunnan and the floor-to-ceiling windows are really perfect! I really like it! ! In other tourist places, such decoration and equipment are more than this price, and the price/performance ratio is really high. I am very satisfied with the hotel I stayed in this time. "It is around 1km from the border(~ 10yuan bi taxi) 500m from the famous Fuxin shopping mall and ~ 10mins by car to the train station (~ 10- 12 yuan). Very basic room with dim light (1 light bulb in the room), a bit high price compared to what's provided. Dont trust the floor number on Trip. The boss said that it is flexible, first come first serve. My booking stated that the room would be on 2nd floor but it's the highest 6th floor with no elevator. Though the owner helped me with my luggage on arrival but i had to managed to do on my own at depature as I leave early for the train. There might be mouse in the room :( The boss is friendly and helpful though he doesnt speak English. He'll not be at the reception all the time you have to call him. Prepare the data sim to call him via Trip number. It's ok for 1 night before the train but no for longer stay."

"The home-cooked food offered looked delicious, but being vegetarian, sadly I couldn't try it. The hosts were beyond helpful, going to great lengths to help me sort out transportation problems with by ebike, after I discovered there was no luggage consignment available at Hekou North train station. They were willing to store my bike for free until I returned, but in the end managed to organise transport to Lijiang with a local logistics company which I would never have found myself, after all the major firms refused. Can't praise them enough - wonderful people."
